An idea: YGOPro (YCM Version)

There's the Duel Portal program, which allows you to play your custom cards, but now that YGOPro has an AI system in development, what do y'all think about a customized version of YGOPro with all your favorite custom cards added in?

Scripting cards is not easy, but the closer your cards are to existing cards, the easier it will be to add them in.

You can't play on Checkmate or DevPro's servers (they won't recognize the new cards) but if your friend has the modded version you can play with them via LAN.

Pros

Cons

  • Scripting cards is far from easy, and sufficiently intimidating to someone absolutely unfamiliar with programming
  • You can only work with one version of YGOPro at a time. If a new one is released, you will have to reconfigure the card databases all over again.
  • AI is in very, very early beta stages, and can only play certain decks right now. If you want it to use the new cards, you will have to write AI code for it yourself.
  • Too much trouble making your own archetypes (is this even possible?)

Just wanted to see if anyone is interested.

The idea to make this possible is, where one copy of the card database is kept updated, and everyone posts their card pictures and scripts in this thread.

I'm not sure that there are many here who are both dedicated enough, and have the known-how  to do this, but yes, it could very much be done, and if something like this could ever happen, which doesn't sound impossible, I would be all ears for it.
