Βyakuya
http://elitedaily.com/news/world/abercrombie-fitch-ceo-explains-why-he-hates-fat-chicks/ “In every school there are the cool and popular kids, and then there are the not-so-cool kids,” he told the site. “Candidly, we go after the cool kids. We go after the attractive all-American kid with a great attitude and a lot of friends. A lot of people don’t belong [in our clothes], and they can’t belong. Are we exclusionary? Absolutely. Those companies that are in trouble are trying to target everybody: young, old, fat, skinny. But then you become totally vanilla. You don’t alienate anybody, but you don’t excite anybody, either,” This issue came several days ago, but after seeing this issue for the first time, I might as well rant about something so not surprising...because why not. When I go clothes shopping at the mall, it;s usually Aeropostale, American Eagle, or even H&M when it comes to clothing. And then I walk past Abercrombie & Fitch, looking at its fancy outer designs with pictures of topless men with washboard abs. And through looking at their merch and even their bags, pretty much I had an idea of how that store operates and how its attitude is. And boy was I not surprised. Abercrombie's CEO Mike Jeffries impetuously claims it can only market to "cool-kids", so it avoids making extra-large shirts, while also being perfectionists at the same time, dumping imperfect merch where there are freaking starving countries out there. This risky business men has basically took the path of brining the message to teens that the "ugly" is not meant to fit in society, and f*** all genetic predispositions on your physical appearance because we bring the true fashion of teen fashion culture for truly "attractive" people. The fact that he's supporting reason for teens to bully teens that have "appearance disoders" from lack of washboard abs to having a single pimple on your cheek makes him IMO such a cunt. Anyways enough of my rant, what arer your thoughts?

Βyakuya
And, people are surprised by this? Sounds like old news. The only reason why I made this topic is that due to recent quoting, guess it's time someone wants to say their opinion.
Northern Sage
And, people are surprised by this? Sounds like old news. Corporations are pricks who are steadily gaining control of the world. Nope, nothing new here. Not that that's okay, though.
Rapidfire
Okay, my friends were ranting to me about this the other day. "Why do you still wear Abercrombie & Fitch???" Yes the guy who makes the cloths is a total jack ass. And I think that everyone should feel comfortable in their body and clothes. Honestly I really like the style of clothing, which doesn't mean I'm a "cool kid" or "the all american teen". No I'm lame, really sarcastic, social, naive, I'm The All American (wellll European as well) Weird kid. I honestly looove that because I'm artsy, I don't listen to all the new rap songs and I don't listen to all of the new crap when it comes to music. I don't hang out with one specific "click" or "group". Hell I'm friends with every group of people. And I consider that an accomplishment! And honestly I really do care about how I look. That's no lie, but I also have days where I just don't give a fuck. I love this particular store because of the style. (And the smell too. I loovee the smell of the store) I do think that the brand is very primitive because only "pretty people" can work in the store. Actually one of my friends applied for a job there and she didn't get it because "she wasn't pretty enough". Uhhh, I call bullshit. No she's absolutely gorgeous, and great. So yeah it's a very primitive sotry/brand/whateverelseitis. Buuut my point here is that people should wear whatever they want to because it's a form of expression, and well if you like the damn store shop in it. No matter how much of a jackass the owner is if you like the clothes then buy them. I'm not gonna stop shopping in one of my favorite stores because "I'm not pretty enough" or because I don't have the perfect body. So what if I don't have a "thigh gap". So what if I'm not a size two. So what if I'm not a "cool kid". I'm still gonna shop there because well like I said I like the style. So don't let words like that discourage you from shopping where you like.
Lt. Colonel Remo
And, people are surprised by this? Sounds like old news. The fact that the CEO came out and openly said it is the surprising part Usually companies try to WIN customers, not shun them away. They're trying too hard to become exclusive without actually spending the money an exclusive company would. It's cheap and I hope it ends up failing their company. It almost disgusts me that they had such capital and they decide to waste it all on the this haughty arrogant press release.

As a newbie nearing his veteran level in the hobby, I can say this. GW will righteous shit all over you if you even care about the hobby. Also, I like the cut of this CEO's jib. Plus, I don't really give a fuck about this shitstorm. Just like what happened at chickfila.

JadenxAtemYAOI
Not like it will affect their business. KFC still makes money even after someone found a kidney in their chicken and how KFC gets their chickens. McDonalds' cows are cloned and left to eat and sleep in their own crap. Baby back ribs typically come from infant cows that were only bred to taste good. As much as people want to think a company's methods or point of view affect their business Chick-fil-A still coughs at the idea of gay marriage. Would that make it ridiculously expensive?
The Amazing Avian
I don't know the cost of cloning, but considering how many McDonald's restaurants there are and the amount of customers they get, they can probably afford it. From what I understand though, the FDA has only approved the offspring of cloned animals for consumption, not the cloned animals themselves. There hasn't been sufficient testing for them to approve cloned animals for consumption since they don't know if then can pose health problems to those who eat them.
