3 New Level Monsters: Titan Gates!

How correct would I be by saying that Lvl 8 is overpowered?

You would be correct. But since you have to activate LV6's effect to get him out, I think it's fair enough. No point running a LV8 that is impossible to get out except by another monster's effect if the card is weak.

Good point.

Also, there's no incentive to use LV8, since LV6 has a better effect.

Whoa I missed that. Yeah they dont follow the Lvl up pattern, and the effects dont match the monsters. Blah, what Crab said lol

Actually, Armed Dragon LV10 is 3 more than Armed Dragon LV7, but it breaks all the other patterns of LV monsters too (such as being Special Summonable only by tributing a Nomi LV monster, by being summoned by its own effect instead of the effect of the lower level monster, by not being Level Up!able, by being a late addition to the set that was never originally planned, and so on).

Winged Kuriboh LV10 also breaks the pattern, but it's not really a LV monster.

too right, but at least armed dragons pattern followed through +3, +3 not +3, +2. unless of course you make a Lvl 9 and just blow everything out of proportion, and cause a black hole that we all get sucked into. Except me because I spammed my pants.

Er yeh. neg please.

Woah, so many replies overnight.

Well then:

@ Crab Helmet: When I mae these monsters, I hadn't fully grasped the concept of LV monsters. That being said, I had never noticed a pattern in levels and I don't have the pictures anymore to redo the cards, otherwise I would have fixed them. And yes, Armed Dragon LV10 and Winged Kuriboh LV10 aren't comparable to the others, it'd be a lame excuse on my part to bring those up as the reason for messing the pattern up. ;)

@ Bloodrun: Lv3 and LV6 are just Gates, they don't really attack, so their ATK is 0. LV8 is the unleashed Titan inside, so it has ATK unlike its predecessors. ;)

@ Faded: They do match, the theme is effect negation of increased efficiency throughout the Levels.

@ silencerleader: what green stars and different-color Attribute? :/ they look perfectly normal to me...

Regarding the effects... LV8 can negate any effect for the possible cost of 1 card, and it's not mandatory anyway, so you don't have to lose your entire hand and negate an effect if the loss would be too great. After that, it's pretty much Levia-like, everything goes boom and Titan remains, for a nice 2800 ATK swing. So all in all, I think effect-wise, LV8 is still better than LV6. Also, LV6's effect requires 2 discards for negation and the opponent's card goes back into their Deck, not the Graveyard, which could mean they get a 2nd chance at activating that Smashing Ground or whatever they tried before.
