TRUE RULER^(Imper.Di ) Posted May 15, 2013 Report Share Posted May 15, 2013 I'm planning on building an archetype of "Visionaries" or "Seers", who through the power of the divine alter the future(aka they change what you top deck). I'll expand eventually. Lore: When you Normal Summon this monster you can reveal the top 3 cards of a player's deck; place them atop their deck in any order. When this monster is Special Summoned: look at the top card of your opponent's deck; place it on the top or bottom of their deck. Bad-People Posted May 16, 2013 Report Share Posted May 16, 2013 I like the Normal Summon vs Special Summon effect on this card, and I like the special summon effect itself. But the Normal summon effect is kind of iffy to me. It's potentially really powerful which makes me think it needs some sort of cost, at the same time it could also end up not helping at all, so it's kind of confusing. However, you might want to decide if it's normal-summon based or special-summon based (if you use both, you'll clog up your card's lore and make it difficult to choose support cards). Since it's not like you discard those cards or special summon them to your side of the field (though a possibility), you should go ahead and give them decent ATK and DEF. Or better yet, add some sort of stat-enhancing effect, such as "This card gains attack for every monster/spell/trap revealed this way" or "When your opponent draws, call it, and if you do: [insert good effect here]) etc, etc. Just some ideas. A few of the level 5+ monsters allow for extra cards to be revealed and add stipulations(card return, burn damage, ST destroy, eff protection etc.) depending on the revealed cards. I might reduce the cards revealed to 2/3 for lower level monsters. A few of the cards will be supported by/will support unused cards("Gather your Mind" for one). Ultimately the other surrounding monsters will allow for external Special Summoning, but they largely work with Normal Summons. Reveal, control, reveal(due to the power of their effects they have lesser stats). Thanks for the feedback. I'm looking forward to more criticism.
