Syllable monsters: Popopo.

An archtype with some members similar to some "Gagaga" members that flashed my mind a few days ago. I started to write this archtype as a Machine-Type Chess themed archtype, but soon added more members and support.

 

[spoiler=Monster Cards]Popopo Bishop

Earth/Level 4/Machine/Effect/1300 ATK/300 DEF

You can target 1 face-up "Popopo" monster you control; equip this card from your hand to that target. The equipped monster gains this effect. Once per turn: you can increase the level of this monster by up to 2 until the End Phase. If the equipped monster would be destroyed; destroy this card instead.

 

Popopo Buster

Earth/Level 4/Warrior/Effect/1600 ATK/1300 DEF

This card gains 300 ATK for each Dragon and Spellcaster-Type monster your opponent controls.

 

Popopo Caller

Earth/Level 4/Fairy/Effect/1500 ATK/600 DEF

When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard; you can Special Summon a Level 4 or lower "Popopo" Monster from your hand or deck.

 

Popopo Dragon

Wind/Level 4/Dragon/Effect/1900 ATK/200 DEF

Once per turn: you can send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard; destroy all face-up Spell and Trap Cards your opponent controls. This card cannot attack the same turn you activate it's effect.

 

Popopo Fiend

Dark/Level 6/Fiend/Effect/2200 ATK/800 DEF

When this card is Tribute Summoned; you can Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower "Popopo" Monster from your deck. It is destroyed during the end phase.

 

Popopo Gardna

Earth/Level 4/Warrior/Effect/0 ATK/1900 DEF

Twice per turn: This card is not destroyed by battle.

 

Popopo Girl

Dark/Level 3/Spellcaster/Effect/1000 ATK/700 DEF

Once per turn: you can Banish 1 "Popopo" Monster from your hand or graveyard; this card's Level becomes the same as the Banished Monster. An Xyz Monster summoned using this card and another "Popopo" Monster as Xyz Materials gains the following effect.

● When it is Xyz Summoned: Target 1 Spell or Trap card your opponent controls; destroy the target.

 

Popopo Kid

Dark/Level 2/Spellcaster/Effect/800 ATK/700 DEF

When your opponent controls a Monster and you control a "Popopo" Monster; you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) in Face-Up Attack Position.

 

Popopo Knight

Earth/Level 4/Machine/Effect/1700 ATK/1200 DEF

Each time this card destroys an opponent's Monster by battle; Draw a card.

 

Popopo Lancer

Earth/Level 4/Warrior/Effect/1700 ATK/300 DEF

If this card attacks a Defense Position Monster, inflict piercing Battle Damage to your opponent.

 

Popopo Magician

Dark/Level 4/Spellcaster/Effect/1500 ATK/1100 DEF

Once per turn, you can send any number of Face-Up Spell and Trap cards you control to the graveyard: target Spell and Trap cards equal to the number of Spell and Trap cards send to the graveyard your opponent controls; destroy the targets. Your opponent cannot activate card Effects in response to this card's activation.

 

Popopo Mechanic

Earth/Level 4/Machine/Effect/1500 ATK/800 DEF

When this card is Normal Summoned: you can send one card in your hand to the Graveyard to target 1 Machine-Type "Popopo" Monster in your graveyard, except "Popopo Mechanic"; Special Summon the target in Face-up Attack Position. That monster cannot attack this turn.

 

Popopo Paladin

Light/Level 7/Warrior/Effect/1700 ATK/2600 DEF

You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by tributing 2 Face-Up "Popopo" Monsters you control, and if you do, you can Special Summon 1 "Popopo Paladin" from your deck in Face-Up Defense Position.

 

Popopo Pawn

Earth/Level 2/Machine/Effect/500 ATK/1200 DEF

Your opponent cannot target a "Popopo" Monster as attack target, except "Popopo Pawn".

 

Popopo Queen

Earth/Level 4/Machine/Effect/1400 ATK/1500 DEF

If you control 2 Face-Up "Popopo" Monsters; you can Special Summon this (from your hand).

 

Popopo Scout

Earth/Level 1/Machine/Effect/300 ATK/100 DEF

When this card is Normal Summoned: you can target 1 Set card your opponent controls; Look at the target set card, then, switch the Battle Position of this card.

 

Popopo Sorcerer

Dark/Level 3/Spellcaster/Effect/1300 ATK/1200 DEF

Once per turn: you can target 1 other "Popopo" monster you control; this card's Level becomes the same as the target's Level.

 

Popopo Tower

Earth/Level 4/Machine/Effect/600 ATK/2000 DEF

Once per turn: this card is not destroyed (by card effect or by battle).

 

Popopo Wyvern

Light/Level 6/Dragon/Effect/2100 ATK/1600 DEF

If your opponent controls a Monster while you don't, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand), but it's Original ATK becomes 1600.[/spoiler]

 

[spoiler=Spell Cards]Popopocheckmate

Normal

Target 1 Face-Up "Popopo King" you control; it can attack directly this turn, and if it does, your opponent cannot activate any Spell or Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step.

 

Popopo Double Lance

Equip

Equip only to a "Popopo" Monster. The equipped Monster gainst 700 ATK and if it attacks a Defense Position Monster, inflict piercing Battle Damage to your opponent.

 

Popopodraw

Normal

Banish up to 5 "Popopo" Monsters in your Graveyard; draw cards equal to the amount of cards banished by this effect. You can only activate 1 "Popopodraw" per turn.

 

Popopogather

Normal

Add 1 "Popopo" Monster from your deck to your hand.

 

Popopo Overlay

Normal

Target 1 "Popopo" Monster in your gaveyard and 1 Xyz monster you control; attach the first target and this card to the second target as Xyz Materials.

 

Popoposhield

Equip

Equip only to a "Popopo" Monster. If the equipped monster is targeted as attack targetl change the equipped monster to Face-Up Defense Position. If the Equipped Monster would be destroyed; destroy this card instead.[/spoiler]

Earth/Rank 4/Machine/Xyz/Effect/2400 ATK/1500 DEF

3 Level 4 Monsters

Once per turn: can detach 1 Xyz Material to target 1 Set card your opponent controls; destroy the target. If this card would be destroyed by battle: you can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card instead.

 

Popopo Phoenix

Fire/Rank 4/Winged Beast/Xyz/Effect/2000 ATK/1300 DEF

2 Level 4 Monsters

When a "Popopo" Monster would be destroyed: you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead. You take no Battle Damage from battles involving this Face-Up card.[/spoiler]

You don't really seem to have a theme at all here. A lot of your cards are pretty unbalanced, and some of them would never see use. I would suggest to try to come up with a theme, instead of just making every game mechanic into a card. You jump around in Types and Levels and Attributes, so I don't really know what you're trying to actually do, other than just make some random cards and call it an Archetype. You normally want a theme when you make an archetype. Your OCG seems quite alright for the most part, there's some things that are wrong, but you seem to have the right idea, it's just that the cards are either unbalanced, or not useful at all.

Thanks for the advice. I kinda didn't want a set theme like swarming the field, since i like to have more fun than just winning in 3 turns, but actually use different strategies if the first one fails.

Well, at least to me, I would consider a Deck where you just put in a lot of what is considered good (like putting Trag and Effect Veiler and Gorz in everything) is just bad Deck building. Having too many Deck options is usually pretty bad, and as your cards don't really mix all that well together at all, that is a big problem. You could fix this by putting some of the cards into one, there's no rules saying that you can't have only 5-6 monsters, I'm just saying.
