A Big Thunder Dragon... (And its base vanilla)

Just a small something that I'm deciding to post for the hell of it :3
...And to see how many people actually say it's unbalanced and broken xD

Lore:

This ancient being of thunder was sealed by a dark force several millenia ago. Nonetheless, even in his sealed and weakened state, he still demonstrates immeasurable destructive power towards those who oppose him. However, he still longs for the day that his seal becomes undone, freeing him from his prison, unlocking his indomitable power.

Effect:

During either player’s turn, when a “Raika, the Sealed Thunder Force” you control is destroyed by battle: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand). When this card is Summoned by its own effect: Destroy all other face-up monsters on the field. Once per turn: You can banish 1 LIGHT monster in your Graveyard; place a Thunderbolt Counter on 1 monster your opponent controls. When a monster with a Thunderbolt Counter is destroyed: Destroy all cards in the column of the destroyed monster.

Insane. Flavorful. Love.

The card itself, the Vanilla, would give access to Rescue Rabbit to Thunder Decks, before having to settle with a 1600, now boosted to 1900 targets for the Type.

Now for the main attraction. I love it. I mean, don't get me wrong, it isn't all that powerful, but just the amount of creativity that springs from it and wording that is rarely ever used in Yugioh (column) makes me love the card. I would, ofc, like to see it become stronger (as the only thing it has going for it is the Dark Hole, excluding himself). Perhaps you can discard 1 card to destroy a monster with a Thunderbolt Counter? Banish even more LIGHT monsters?

Thanks for your review; I'll think about adding an effect, though I'm scared that adding an auto-destruction or something of the sort will make it a bit too powerful, since its field-clearing would become quite fast and efficient.

It's a once per turn destruction effect anyways. Plus, the second this hits the field, their going to make sure no Spell/Trap they have shares a column with a monster, migitating the effect this card has on the board. In fact, the second they see the Normal, they will begin to spread out their cards through the colemns as a precaution.

Also, a once per turn destroy with a discard cost on a boss monster is still bad, just a little more playable. Now, if it banished, I would say otherwise.

Just look at Hyperion, for example. Easier to Summon and blow up cards. Stronger stat wise, and also has a more supported Type.

This card, given its ATK, is rather weak as a boss monster without the previously suggested auto destroy.
