The effect comes from the legend that a Phoenix with be reborn from its own ashes when it dies. "Baby Phoenix" + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters This card can only be summoned by a Synchro Summon. If a monster on your side of the field is selected as an attack target, you can send this card to the graveyard and negate the attack. If this card is sent to the graveyard due to this effect, send this card to your Extra Deck and return "Baby Phoenix" to the field at the end of the turn. OCG Fix: ( "Baby Phoenix" + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters Must be Synchro Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When any player's monster declares an attack: You can send this card to the Graveyard; negate the attack.
