hollowquietsu
A repost of the original card with edited lore and the Tuner Baby Phoenix: As long as this card remains face-up on the field, your opponent can attack no other monster. At the end of the turn that this card is destroyed and sent to the graveyard, Special Summon it face-up on your side of the field. Dragon: "Baby Phoenix" + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters Must be Synchro Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When any player's monster declares an attack: You can send this card to the Graveyard; negate the attack. Then, during the End Phase, return this card in your Graveyard to the Extra Deck and Special Summon 1 "Baby Phoenix" from your Graveyard
Zazubat
I can't really say I like the design of the first one, basically making it into a better Reborn Frog, and it's a Tuner as well. Now, the Level 9 is pretty hard to get out, considering you either need to use 2 other monsters, or a Level 6. And on top of that, it's effect is not worthwhile. There's no reason to have the "Must be Synchro Summoned" either, it just makes it meh, and while it's last effect can get Baby Phoenix going again, I just find it not to be worth it when you could be making other Synchros. OCG fix: Baby Phoenix: Your opponent cannot target other monsters for an attack. During the End Phase of the turn that this card was destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. Dragon: "Baby Phoenix" + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters Must be Synchro Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When any player's monster declares an attack: You can send this card to the Graveyard; negate the attack. Then, during the End Phase: Return this card in your Graveyard to the Extra Deck and Special Summon 1 "Baby Phoenix" from your Graveyard.
Ice Kirby
Baby Phoenix is a nice idea, but I don't see why you should use it to just make Blue Dragon Phoenix. Just use it to stall for getting materials for an awesome Synchro monster instead of Blue Phoenix. Sure, they support each other, but not in the sense where they will combo together. Maybe making an archetype of these Phoenix monsters would be a better way, to maybe enhance these two cards. 6.5/
hollowquietsu
I couldn't think of a better effect. Its a reference to a phoenix being reborn from the ashes but I guess it would still be difficult. You would most likely have to find some way of getting high level monsters out quickly, which I can admit would be too much of a hassle.
