A Blade of Glowing Light.

Hello, all. I haven't been around much in the last few years. I got inspiration to make a card today.

In recent years I have lost my regular image templates. Those of you who remember them may be sad, but it's no biggie.

Without further ado, I present:

Blade of Revealing Light

Target 1 Monster your opponent controls, place this card directly on top of the target; the target cannot attack or activate its effect(s), change battle position, or be targeted for attack or card effect, be tributed, or be used as Synchro or Xyz material. The target's controller may reveal 1 card from their hand to banish this card. The owner of this card may reveal 1 card from their hand to return this banished card to their hand.

The basic idea was to have the fun effect of Swords of Revealing Light, yet make it faster with today's meta. Whenever you see someone play Swords you are tempted to think one of two things: 1) this is annoying, and the person I'm playing is stalling the inevitable; 2) should I be worried? No... it's Swords.

So this is a quickplay for that reason...to catch your opponent off guard. It's in the realm of the Forbidden quickplays. In an instant one of their monsters are unusable.

This can annoy someone who is trying to activate an effect of theirs. It can potentially shut down loops, or stall them for a time with a peak into your opponent's strategy.

I would love to play this against Infernities just to be annoying. What could they do? haha (Yes, I am that old. I don't know today's meta. Are they still around?)

Stalling for funzies, not as a last resort. I can be obnoxious sometimes, too.

Let me know if I have the idea right, or if I'm way off. I've been out of this gig for quite a while.

Thanks, everyone!

I'm glad you put this in AoC cause this card is just extreamly stupid. Basically locking down the entire card, and then making it so easy to get rid off and gain back. I don't suggest you make your cards like this in RC, but for AoC, the card is fine.
