slav
Hello everybody, this is the first archetype I have ever posted on the Yugioh Card Maker forums so any fixes are greatly appreciated. All of the images are from Deviantart and Google Images. The archetype is centered around destroying opponent's monster by battle and getting powerful effects.
If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you can select and activate one of these effects: - Increase this card's ATK by the level of the destroyed monster x 200. - Banish 1 card in either player's Graveyard. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you can select and activate one of these effects: - Discard 1 random card from your opponent's hand. - Return 1 Monster Card on your opponent's side of the field to the top of its owner's Deck. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you can select and activate one of these effects: - Discard monster from your hand to the Graveyard; Destroy a monster on the field with a level equal or less than the level of the monster you discarded. - Discard 1 Spell/Trap card; Destroy 1 face-up Spell/Trap card on your opponent's side of the field. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you can select and activate one of these effects: - This card gains 300 ATK. - Target 1 "Firestar" monster with less ATK than the destroyed monster's ATK in your Graveyard: add that target to your hand. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you can select and activate one of these effects: - Add 1 "Firestar" monster with less ATK than the destroyed monster's ATK from your Deck to your hand. - Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower "Firestar" monster from your hand. The monster Special Summoned by this effect cannot attack during this turn's Battle Phase. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you can select and activate one of these effects: - Target 1 face-down Spell/Trap Card on the field; destroy that target. - All face-up monsters on your side of the field gain ATK equal to 200 points x the level of the destroyed monster until the End Phase. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, select and activate one of these effects: - Change this card to Defense Position at the end of the Battle Phase. This card's battle position cannot be changed until the end of your next turn, except with a card effect. - Destroy 1 monster you control. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you can select and activate one of these effects: - This card gains 300 ATK. - Select 1 of your level 4 or lower banished "Firestar" monsters; add that target to your hand. If this card is in your Graveyard: You can banish 1 "Firestar" monster from your Graveyard to Special Summon this card. Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 face-up "Firestar" monster you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. While equipped by this effect, the equipped monster can attack twice during each Battle Phase. Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) if you have 2 or more "Firestar" monsters on your side of the field. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you can select and activate one of these effects: - Discard 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard; Draw 1 card from your Deck. - Special Summon 1 "Firestar" monster from your Graveyard with less ATK than the ATK of the destroyed monster. The monster Special Summoned by this effect cannot attack during this turn's Battle Phase. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the graveyard, you can select and activate one of these effects: - Inflict 1500 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points. - Special Summon 1 "Firestar" monster from your Graveyard. Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 2 "Firestar" monsters from your Graveyard. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you can select and activate one of these effects: - Gain Life Points equal to the destroyed monster's original ATK. - Inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the destroyed monster's original ATK. 1 "Firestar" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner "Firestar" monsters If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you can select and activate one of these effects: - Inflict damage to your opponent equal to the number of "Firestar" monsters in your Graveyard x 200. - Destroy 1 card on the field.

Each time a "Firestar" monster you control destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you can select and activate one of these effects: - Target 1 Spell/Trap card your opponent controls; return that target to it's owner's hand. - Send the top 2 cards from your opponent's Deck to the Graveyard. - Add 1 "Firestar" Spell/Trap card from your Graveyard to your hand. You can only activate one effect of "Firestar Rain" per turn and only once that turn. Equip only to a "Firestar" monster. That monster gains 200 ATK for each card in your hand. If this face-up card on the field is sent to the Graveyard: Pay 800 Life Points; add this card to your hand. Equip only to a "Firestar" monster. That monster gains 100 ATK for each "Firestar" monster on your side of the field or in your graveyard. If this face-up card on the field is sent to the Graveyard: Target 1 "Firestar" monster in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand. Activate 1 of these effects. - Target 1 "Firestar" monster you control; during this turn, it is unaffected by the effects of other Spell Cards. - Target 1 "Firestar" monster you control; during this turn, it is unaffected by the effects of Trap Cards.

Tribute 1 "Firestar" monster you control. Destroy all monsters on the field with less ATK than the tributed monster's ATK. .Activate only during your opponent's Battle Phase if you control a face-up "Firestar" monster: Target 1 monster your opponent controls; change that target to face-up Attack Position. During this turn the targeted monster cannot change it's Battle Position and must attack if able, also, that attack must be the first attack during this turn's Battle Phase. After activation, target 1 "Firestar" monster you control; Special Summon this card as an Effect Monster with the same name, ATK, DEF, Level, Type and Attribute as that target. (This card is still treated as a Trap card). While this card is treated as an Effect Monster, you can Tribute this card to inflict damage to both player's Life Points equal to half of this card's ATK. Amanea
Hello! Nice deck you have here. I just would like to throw out some criticism (hopefully constructive!) and a few suggestions, if that's okay. ^^ I feel like there needs to be more interaction or harmony with the Level 3 and 4 monsters. They share similar effects, but they rarely cooperate and act toward one goal. An ideal effect to tie them together would be: searching the Deck, Special Summoning of other "Firestar" monsters, and protecting other "Firestar" monsters. As powerful effects, they should come with appropriate counterbalances. I believe that would make the lower Level monsters feel more interconnected. "Avis" seems a little bland for a Level 5 with no alternate Summoning condition. 2100 ATK is just peeking above many Level 4 monsters, and the setback that its Summon causes is not compensated for in my opinion. For a more appropriate first effect, and to uplift the phoenix concept, you could try incorporating a self-revival effect that would come at the cost of banishing another "Firestar" monster from the Graveyard. That would make its second effect more relevant, as only two other "Firestar" cards are capable of banishing. Along that line, I think that "Interitum" has too relaxed a Summoning condition for 2700 ATK and considerable burn damage. You could try upping the requirement to 3 "Firestar" monsters, or eliminating the second Special Summoning ability altogether and just have him able to be Special Summoned by banishing other "Firestar" monsters. To point out, gaining Life Points is almost always less favorable than inflicting damage to your opponent, so I would suggest having the first effect read, " ... Gain Life Points equal to the original ATK of the destroyed monster". That would give the effect an edge that might tempt the controller to use it instead of the second effect. Finally, I think that "Firestar Energy" is a little pointless. I mean, if your opponent begins their Battle Phase with a face-up Attack Position monster, then they are likely to attack with it regardless of your card's effect, and considering that they began their Battle Phase, it is likely that their monster will be capable of destroying yours. To make it more useful, I think you should have it Special Summon "Firestar Tokens" (Pyro-Type/FIRE/Level1/ATK 0/DEF 0) to the opponent's side of the field at the beginning of their Battle Phase and force them to attack your own "Firestar" monster. I think that would give the card more reason to be played. Overall, I do like the theme of destroying monsters by battle! It seems that the metagame has left such antics in the dust with all the newfangled destruction and banishing card effects. Good job, I'd love to see more from this archetype! HopeFarron
I love these! Kinda remind me of Jurrac monsters, which I'm a longtime fan of! But if these came out next card pack I would probably run them just because they seem cool. But my mission for this deck would be to get Firestar Rat - Mus' effect off. Thank you so much for the feedback. I have tweaked the cards you mentioned. As for "Firestar Energy" I completely screwed up what I meant to do with the card and I have fixed it now. Deck searching is covered by "Firestar Maiden - Domina". :D Special Summoning I think is no problem for this deck with the effects of "Domina", "Dea", "Interitum", the new effect of "Avis" and of course the effect of "Mus" (if you can get if off :D). And as for protection I think the spear covers that but if you still think that is not enough I might think about making an XYZ for the theme that is similar to Battlin' Boxer - Lead Yoke. Thanks again for the comment :D
