The original version I made for the 1v1 didn't go over so well it seems, so I remade it. Click the spoiler if you wish to see the original version.

2 Level 4 monsters
During either player’s turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card and target 1 Attack Position monster on the field; change target monster to Defense Position and put 1 Flare Counter on it (only 1 Flare Counter can be on that monster at a time). Monsters with Flare Counters lose 500 DEF for each colon in its card text. This card must be face-up to activate and to resolve this effect. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing Battle Damage to your opponent.

It is much more balanced and legit now then before, and still really deadly.

It looks like a very good generic, easily able to exploit the weaker position/hold off attackers. The DEF Decrease is good and creative, but it worries me. What if the OCG moves past colons and just adopts some new OCG yet again? I don't believe they are, but I guess it doesn't really matter in YCM.

Very good generic, would probably go to be a staple ran at 1.
