Tribe Of The Dreamcatcher

I don't think that "Raven" is OP at all. His effect requires somewhat of a setup - either "Hawk" or "Moose" would have to begin the combo, and even then, there is still minor reliance on the opponent. I'm just not sure what the win condition is, but I'm sure that will change once you've gotten your Xyz Monsters going. c: I can see some great potential here for Xyz, especially in "Bear", "Wolf", and "Moose"! And I also like the deep integration of recycling effects here. A few of the effects appear a bit off-track though, like the burn capability of "Raven" and the Life Point shenanigans of "Fox". The costs are all fine and dandy - it's just the actual effects that strike me as tangential. I can understand that Raven is already has powerful combo potential, which would give incentive to downplay any extra effects, but I would suggest something a bit more interconnected with the archetype - like the effects of all the other cards! That's what I really like about this archetype is the integrity that each one has in the series as a whole. Me gusta. d_b

Edit: And fantastic artwork! Much better than the usual Frankenstein collages of art that rear their heads in many other series. ^^ Where did you find it? It really makes the set look tied together.

Tribe of the Dreamcatcher - Kogga, King of Stags

ATK and DEF are well balanced in relation to his Rank and potency of effects. I enjoyed the Brotherhood of the Fire Fist-esque effect, establishing combos with Moose that accentuate the focus on Xyz Summoning. I saw even more Brotherhood inspiration from the second and third effects: the dual capability to render an array of opposing monsters useless for an entire turn and the potential to set up another Xyz Summon upon destruction. However, I see that 1500 Life Points is not an adequate cost for a plus two as field presence. Perhaps adding "Their effects are negated" would lessen the versatility of this effect as rightly balance it.

Tribe of the Dreamcatcher - Dark Wolf

Personally, the immediate reflection of Stardust Dragon made him feel generic and potentially overpowered due to his 3200 ATK and the substantial ATK increase that he gives in addition to staunch protection against effects. Regarding OCG, all that gibberish at the beginning isn't necessary. Just say, "When a card effect is activated that would destroy ... " as that covers everything. If I may suggest my rendition:

"1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner "Tribe of the Dreamcatcher" monsters

All "Tribe of the Dreamcatcher" monsters you control gain 200 ATK for each "Tribe of the Dreamcatcher" monster in your Graveyard. When a card effect is activated that would destroy a "Tribe of the Dreamcatcher" monster(s) you control: You can Tribute this card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. During the End Phase, if this card negated an effect this way during this turn: You can banish 1 "Tribe of the Dreamcatcher" monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon this card."
