Bleach Captain Shikais

Errors experienced while posting this. I will make sure to release my shikais for Hitsugaya, Ukitake, and Urahara as soon as I can.

 

P.S. Thinking of Making Yu Yu Hakusho cards at some point...

I agree, but try to find pictures of the captains.

I concur. However, this was incredibly hard to do referring to Shikai. There is not a lot of battle art. There's more basic artwork in the base captain post I did earlier.

Actually, the Espada are in the works now. I am still trying to work out the way bankai should work since shikai is so overpowered to begin this. I don't want to spam a bunch of level 10-12 monsters :)

But I appreciate the feedback, Starrk. I'll actually be done with Los Lobos, Coyote Starrk's Resurrecion soon.

All right, this will be my first time commenting since I am usually content to lurk.    The pictures are good, that's the first thing I noticed when I opened the thread.  That''s always important because low quality pictures can make a card seem much less pro, and cause people to have a hard time taking it seriously.     I would even go so far as to say that the pictures are the best part of this set.    However, having said this, there are flaws which I have seen.  Firstly, the stats.  Seriously?  4000 ATK is just hard for me to accept on anything but a joke card (And yeah, I know there are 4000 ATK cards in the game, but the game has the added advantage of actually being the game.  It doesn't need to look  official because it is.   Cards we make howwever don't have that advantage.)   The attacks on the others were a lot more reasonable, and also,  the levels were just off.  I get that you want to show us how these guys are really high ranked and powerful, but all it does is make me go ''Wait, why would I ever play these?''

 

The effects on the cards were actually a bit basic.  Had they been lower level, it would have been better but since they're high level, I expect them to make up for the trouble of summoning them but these ones just don't seem to do it.  Cards that should be the trump cards like Yamamoto are just underwhelming, a combination of high attack and yet low reliability.   How useful is a trump card that can be taken down by a single trap? A  Mirror Force would decimite the entire field with these guys.  They just don't have it in them.

 

All in all, to rate it out of a hundred, I would break it down as such.

 

40  for the good quality pictures.

 

10 for the effects

 

5 for the reliability.

 

Total of 55:   Flawed but with promise.   I really like the pictures you choose and if you were to level them down a bit and redo some of the effects, I would honestly play them were they real.

 

Now I know that these are pop culture cards but I don't see that as a reason to exclude them from this kind of argument.  You made them into yugioh cards and as such, they should at least loosely follow the conventions of the game.    If these were a real set, I can't say that I would ever play them.
