LORE: During either player's turn, when a monster effect is activated besides this card's effect: Place 1 counter on this face-up card (max. 3); negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that monster. When this face-up card has 3 counters on it, banish this card.

 

A "stronger" version of "Doomcaliber Knight". Requires a Tribute and then gets banished (this should balance the effect).
I'm expecting a grammar fix (OCG was kind of confusing)

This is card #2 in a "booster set" of sorts containing random cards. More to come.

If I gave a good review, click the "Like This" button (also for other people than the card maker). It helps me out in the Review Board.

Effect & Use: Effect negation and destruction are both powerful effects, so it is rarely useless unless it is put on a card with harsh conditions or something like that. With that said, this isn't the best card for it. Level 5 Zombie monsters arn't that common, except for the new Vampire Archetype, but those guys require monster effects to work, and since this is mandatory, it will really mess them up. On top of that, since it isn't that fast to get out it can easily mess you up, and since other Zombie decks need monster effects to play, that is really problematic. It also has low stats, so even thouhg it is powerful, it isn't that card to really get rid of. The only easy way is as with all other Zombies to use some of their ways to get monsters out of the Deck or Graveyard, such as Book of Life and Pyramid Turtle.

Design/Balance: It's alright balanced, 3 negations that are mandatory that also put it in the Banish Zone afterwards at a Level 5 with those stats is balanced. Another thing is the Counters, they are generic Counters, that means any other Counters will make it mess it up. While the cards that can do that are very limited, mostly because you lock out all monsters that can do that, it is still worth mentioning, since that does balance it a tad more out. A thing I found kind of odd is that the cost is to put 1 Counter on it, while that means that if the effect is negated, it will still keep the Counter, it is kind of odd to me, but I guess it can balance it out a bit more.

Flavor/Image and Originality: It's as you said an upgrade to Doomcaliber Knight, and while that card was Fiend-Type, it doesn't really matter since the only thing they have in common is their effect negation. The image also looks close to Doomcaliber Knight, so that's nice. It's negation isn't original, though the Counters is interesting, so that's something.

Overall: Very well balanced, though it won't really stand a chance againts a lot of things. Simple way to get over it would be to use Forbidden Lance, then mostly everything could get over it. It does lock Decks that use the hand to do most of their plays, such as Dragon Ruler, but it can still be taken out quite easily, and getting it worth should mean more than it does now. So that means you should boost its ATK. I don't suggest DEF since that would ruin the Pyramid Turtle way of getting him out, but you can do that instead if you wish.5/10

OCG fix: Hover your cursor over the word(s) with the dotted lines to read my reasons for the fixes. Make sure to hover over more than one one word, as it might put the things I have to say together with the dotted lines. You might be able to see a more bold dot where it changes. Either that or you can view it with BBcode turned off, just copy and paste it and click the switch in the control pannel. I do not repeat if you have made the flaw more than once, instead will it be bold (if any). Anything in italic is simple typos (if any). Anything in red means that it is something that is missing and should be there, as well as dotted lines to explain my reasoning/ask why you may have forgotten (if any).
