Airride
Shift Gear - Summon MAXX!!! Quick-Play Spell Activate only when you add a level 4 or lower Machine-Type monster to your hand while the only monster you control is a Machine-Type monster you Normal Summoned this turn: You may Normal Summon up to 2 more level 4 or lower Machine-Type monsters this turn, but you can only Normal Summon up to 3 times this turn. You cannot Special Summon Level 4 or higher Monsters this turn, except from your Extra Deck. If you Normal Summon a monster with the same level as a monster you control, you cannot use its effects. Shift Gear - Summon INSTANT!!! Quick-Play Spell Normal Summon 1 Machine-Type monster from your hand. This Summon does not count towards your 1 Normal Summon/Set per turn. Gadget borkeness and R-Genex stupidity.
Therrion
Honestly, no. The first card is just bad design all together, taking away any strat in the deck and just telling them to "Use this or die by it". This would just make Gadgets even more auto pilot, which does nothing for the game. I like that it helps R-Genex, but sadly it does too much for Gadgets. Summon Instant, however, is an acceptable card. A SS2 Double Summon that is Type specific is balanced and unique, so nice job here.
Airride
I'll try to figure something out for MAXX. I want it to add Normal Summons, but not without hampering Gadgets quite a bit, and leave R-Genex some room to use it.
Necruta
Well seeing how R-genex monsters keep searching monsters from a different level you could rewrite the activation condition to: Activate only when you add a level 4 or lower machine type monster to your hand while the only monster you control is a machine type monster you normal summoned this turn and the monster you added to your hand is a different level than the monster you control: rest of the effect. This allows R-genex to abuse this card if they wish but gadgets can't use this card since they aren't the same level.
Airride
I added a few conditions to it. I liked the idea of it being a mostly worse version of double summon for gadgets, so I tweaked it a bit to be a little gimmicky, but I can see uses for the conditions it has.
