Harrison H
When you are targeted for an attack special summon a level 8 or higher normal monster from your deck and have your opponent do the same. The original attack is negated and have the 2 level 8 or higher monster do battle; the controller of the losing monster loses 100 Life points. If you opponent can't summon a monster with this effect the monster you summoned can halve it's attack and attack directly or attack twice. The same thing go's from your opponent if you can't summon a monster.
PicaNick
I get what you wanted to do, but there is a lot of mistakes in your card and some things just don't make sense. Here is a better improvement: When your opponent declares an attack, you can activate this card. Special Summon 1 level 8 normal monster from your deck. If you successfully summoned that monster, your opponent can Special Summon 1 level 8 monster from his deck to his side of the field and it's effect are negated. If both players had Special Summon a monster with this effect, the monster that was Special Summoned by this effect with the lowest attack is destroyed and the controller of that monster loses 1000 life points. If your opponent did not Special Summon a monster by this effect, halve the ATK of your monster that was Special Summoned by this effect but it cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects until the End Phase. PicaNick
I can see that this card would go well with "blue-eyes" decks.
