Duel Portal's (Un)Official YCM Character Deck Compendium

Welcome, everyone.

With Duel Portal becoming more and more awesome thanks to some hard work from some awesome people, it seems like we should be able to take YCM to new levels of user interaction. With this, you fools have allowed YCM to reveal its true form. A form which we cannot comprehe-

 

So, what's all that rambling about? Well, simple; we should create our own unique user decks! Since I was too lazy to search to see if a project the likes of this has been started up elsewhere, I decided to start this official thread for the matter. These duels/decks shall take place/be constructed on Duel  Portal, as it allows us to make our YCM/Yugico cards a reality. 

 

There are only a few guidelines I'd like to put in place, as ridiculous, broken cards will be handled by station management.

 

These guidelines are as follows:

• No match winners.
• No Instant-win conditions. *
• No cards with an original ATK exceeding the highest original ATK of an existing card.
• No DIVINE or Divine beasts.

*cards with instant win conditions will be reviewed by a council of 5 YCM members of senior rank or higher, including at least one staff member from YCM or Duel Portal, before being considered acceptable for tournament play.

 

Alright, so with that said, I suppose we should put the review system in play.

Cards reviews

So, if you'd like to use a card in YCM character deck tournaments, it seems like there should be a system to prevent crap, yes? Well, here's what I have in mind. Allow cards to be uploaded, however, if a card is reported, it is put up for review and possible deletion. Alternatively, make members be required to ask permission to create cards; this takes a lot less work sifting through the inevitable terrible cards caused by people that make them with an intent to clog up the network, though it also functions as a bottleneck for people that genuinely have good card ideas.

 

Users should have a say in whether or not they want their cards put up for use beyond their personal decks. Solutions for both this and the creation of a banlist (banned cards would be cards deemed fit for play under certain circumstances but deemed unfit for the current meta, while cards deemed unfit for general play would be deleted) are still in development.

 

EVERYTHING IN THE CARD COMPENDIUM, INCLUDING RULES, REGULATIONS, BANLISTS, AND THE CARD DATABASE ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. AS IS LIFE. HUG YOUR CHILDREN.
