Allow me to clarify something here about "Muslims". In the Qura'an you will read both "Muslim" and "Mo'imin". Muslim is a term used to describe a person following Islamic laws, prophetic/Imam hadiths (speeches/quotes) and the holy Qura'an. A Mo'imin is a Muslim who is more aware of the concept of Islam; more prayers, Dua'a (calling for God), studying MORE into Islam, etc.

I brought these points up because I can guarantee you that more than 50% of the people who claim they are "Muslim" are hypocrites. And in the Qura'an it is said many times that hypocrites are banished from Islam completely. They do not know a thing about the religion. They are just in it because it was taught to them by their parents. A part of the those are not just hypocrites but their main goal is to pull down the name of Islam. As an example: Al-Qaida, Al-Nusra, etc. These people are not "Muslims". They are what we call "Wahabists". They claim to be Muslim but in reality they are funded by a specific power to spread false images of Islam around the world.

There are two types of Islam: Sunni and Shia. I am a Shia Muslim. My parents are both Shia as well. I chose to remain a Shia because I have researched into it and found that it is far more logical than the supposed "Sunni" Islam. I say supposed because Sunni is also split into two NOWADAYS. Some Sunnis are VERY close to Shia Islam and some Sunnis are very close to Wahabist. Those who are close to Shia I respect, not because it is close to my beliefs, but because they don't go around spreading falsehoods everywhere.

my family is roman catholic, and while I believe in the j-man, I don't really understand the institution. I got confirmed and everything because the rents wanted me to, but I don't really go to church anymore.

 

I still don't know where the "collection baskets" passed out every mass end up, and drinking out of the same wine glass that everybody has backwashed in is just straight-up nasty.
