Ionia, the First Musical Mode

Level 1

LIGHT

Spellcaster/Effect

ATK ?/DEF ?

 

This card's original ATK and DEF is equal to its Level x500.  When this card is Normal Summoned: Special Summon 1 "Musical Mode" monster from your hand.  You can Tribute this card and target 1 "Musical Mode" monster you control; Increase its Level by up to 3 Levels.  This effect of "Ionia, the First Musical Mode" can only be activated once per turn.

 

Doria, the Second Musical Mode

Level 2

LIGHT

Spellcaster/Effect

ATK ?/DEF ?

 

This card's original ATK and DEF is equal to its Level x500.  You can reduce this card's Level by 1 and add 1 "Musical Mode" monster from your Deck to your hand.  This effect of "Doria, the Second Musical Mode" can only be activated once per turn.

 

Phrygia, the Third Musical Mode

Level 3

LIGHT

ATK ?/DEF ?

 

This card's original ATK and DEF is equal to its Level x500.  When this card is selected as an attack target: You can reduce this card's Level by 2 and negate the attack.  If there are at least 2 "Musical Mode" monsters with different names in your Graveyard when this effect is activated, your opponent ends their Battle Phase.

 

Lydia, the Fourth Musical Mode

LIGHT

Spellcaster/Effect

ATK ?/DEF ?

 

This card's original ATK and DEF is equal to its Level x500.  Once per turn: you can increase the Level of all face-up Level 3 or lower "Musical Mode" monsters you control by 1.  When a "Musical Mode" monster you control is targeted by a card effect: You can reduce the Level of that monster by 2 to negate the activation of the card.

 

Mixolydia, the Fifth Musical Mode

Level 5

LIGHT

Spellcaster/Effect

ATK ?/DEF ?

 

This card's original ATK and DEF is equal to its Level x500.  You can Normal Summon this card without a Tribute.  If you do: this card's Level becomes 3.  If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can add 1 "Musical Mode" card from your Deck to your hand.

 

Aeolia, the Sixth Musical Mode

Level 6

LIGHT

Spellcaster/Effect

ATK ?/DEF ?

 

This card's original ATK and DEF is equal to its Level x500.  You can Special Summon this card from your hand if your opponent controls at least 1 monster and the combined Levels of all "Musical Mode" monsters in your Graveyard are equal to or greater than 15.  You can only Special Summon 1 "Aeolia, the Sixth Musical Mode" this way per turn.  Once per turn: you can reduce this card's Level by 1 and draw 1 card.  Then, if the drawn card is a "Musical Mode" monster, you can reveal it and destroy 1 card on the field.

 

Locria, the Seventh Musical Mode

Level 7

DARK

Spellcaster/Effect

This card's original ATK and DEF is equal to its Level x500.  Once per turn: you can reduce the Level/Rank of all monsters your opponent by 2.  Then, you can distribute Level increases and decreases among "Musical Mode" monsters you control equal to the combined reduced Level/Rank of all monsters your opponent controls.  Monsters that had their Levels changed this way cannot attack this turn.

 

Musical Mode Tuning

Normal Spell Card

 

You can activate one of the following effects:  ● Increase the Level of a "Musical Mode" monster you control by 1 or 2.  ● Decrease the Level of a "Musical Mode" monster you control by 1 or 2.  If this card is in your Graveyard: You can banish it and target 1 "Musical Mode" monster you control; That monster is treated as a Tuner monster.

 

Infinite Musical Life

Quick-Play Spell Card

 

Target 1 "Musical Mode" monster in your Graveyard: Special Summon it.  It's Level becomes 3.  You can only activate "Infinite Musical Life" once per turn.

 

Musical Mode Party

Continuous Spell Card

 

"Musical Mode" monsters cannot have their effects negated.  If this card would be affected by a card effect: You can reduce the Level of all monsters you control by up to 3 to negate the activation of that effect.

 

Musical Mode Martyr

Normal Trap Card

 

Target 2 "Musical Mode" monsters you control; Tribute the first target and increase the Level of the second target by the Level of the Tributed monster.

 

Musical Mode Re-Tuning

Continuous Trap Card

 

Once per turn: you can target 1 "Musical Mode" monster you control: Banish 1 Tuner monster from your opponent's Deck whose Level is equal to the target monster and treat it as a Tuner monster.

 

I can't help but feel that they have some breaking potential, but at the same time it feels like they can be very fun to play if it were a Deck.

It brings me memories of Fortune Ladies. The changing of levels and ATK.

 

Musical Mode Re-Tuning could really mess up decks that rely on 1 card. If you were facing an Exodia you could just ruin them.

 

They all work together. Very nice Archetype you have made.
