[email protected]
Just came up with these off the top of my head today. Criticism appreciated, I think they may be a little under-powered, also my card grammar is probably off. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent, you can add 1 equip spell card from your deck to your hand. This card can only be equipped to "X-Men - Deadpool" (STARS 4/ATK 1800/DEF 900/WARRIOR/DARK). The equipped card cannot be destroyed by battle, and trap cards cannot be set or activated. When this card is destroyed, inflict 1000 points of damage to your opponent's life points. This card cannot be normal summoned or set. You can special summon this card by returning any "X-Men" monster on your side of the field to your hand. When this card is sent to the graveyard, banish it. During your second standby phase after this card was banished by it's effect, add it to your hand. A powerful member of the X-Men, using the elements as her weapon. You can only activate this card when "X-Men - Storm" is on either player's side of the field. Inflict 2000 points of damage to both player's life points. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent, gain 100 life points. This card can only be equipped to "X-Men - Wolverine" (STARS 5/ATK 2000/DEF 1200/WARRIOR/LIGHT). The equipped card gains 1000 ATK and cannot be destroyed by battle. You can only activate this card if 3 or more "X-Men" monsters are on your side of the field. When an "X-Men" monster leaves the field, inflict 500 points of damage to your opponents life points, then draw 1 card. Cannot be special summoned. You must tribute 3 "X-Men" monsters to normal summon this card (You cannot set this card). The normal summon of this card cannot be negated. This card cannot be targeted or destroyed by card effects. When this card is sent to the graveyard, shuffle 3 or less "X-Men" monsters from your graveyard into your deck, then draw 2 cards. I might make a full set of these if I get enough feedback. Just something I thought of today.
magemeek22
Well, first thing's first, this is in the wrong section; it should be in Pop Culture Cards, not Realistic Cards. Please make sure you don't post things in the wrong place; people who are looking for realistic cards may stumble upon this and get irritated. That said, I will still review your cards (though I'm not going to go over each one in depth). Here are a few key points worth considering: OCG: the grammar on your cards is, to say, the least, pretty bad. Its understandable given you're a new member and the cards are understandable; however, realistic cards need realistic OCG. Artwork: Considering that this comes from a comic book, I'm not honestly surprised to find that the artwork you used is pretty damn good. And its all proportional, so good job with that. Balance/Cards: Okay, so now I get a little more verbose. These cards are really weak. I like the concept of turning X Men into an archetype, but the cards don't work together at all. Each X Men monster has one support card, and then you have the two trump cards: Nightcrawler and Professor X. The equip spells are pretty good, except for the first one (preventing traps in their entirety is really powerful; there should be some cost). The quick-play "Storm's Bliss" makes no sense; Trap Cards can't be quick play, and why is it called "Bliss" if it deals damage? The level 4 monsters themselves are pretty weak, with no synergy (as mentioned before); plus, their effects revolve around dealing damage to gain positive effects, but that's going to be pretty difficult. X Men Wolverine is possible the weakest: 100 ATK for dealing some damage? That's almost nothing. Professor X, however, is waaaay too powerful; being untargetable and undestructable by card effect is fine, but 3800 ATK makes it nearly indestructable by battle; it's like an egyptian god in its current state. "X Men Storm"'s ATK of 1950 is slightly odd, seeing as all your other monsters' ATKs are multiples of 100. I'm going to be frank: I don't think these cards have anything to do with each other (aside from Academy, Nightcrawler, and Professor); they all do different things, with some dealing damage, others becoming indestructable, etc. I am not trying to undermine your effort, which is respectable, but just am trying to help you improve your cards. If you make changes so that these cards work together, then I will review EACH CARD again with great depth. HOWEVER, IF YOU WERE MERELY TRYING TO CAPTURE THE ESSENCE OF THE ACTUAL MARVEL SUPERHEROES, THEN I GUESS YOU CAN IGNORE MY ENTIRE REVIEW (except the "OCG" part) SINCE I GUESS PORTRAYING THE HEROES IS DIFFERENT FROM MAKING AN ARCHETYPE. IF THIS IS THE CASE, AND YOU WERE JUST TRYING TO TURN THE COMIC BOOK INTO A SET OF CARDS, PLEASE DON'T POST IN THE WRONG SECTION AGAIN.

Thanks a lot, I'm starting to realize how they're pretty bad in working together. I was originally going to make some sort of spell card to have them all relate to one card, but they should all work together no matter what I guess. I just don't want to over-do it like the Six Samurai set. As for the OCG part, I looked everywhere to see what the correct phrases were for everything but I didn't find anything.
