Sora1499
So this is the last card I can make without incurring the wrath of the Koko :< And so, it shall be a good one: a Synchro! <creams pants> Comment, review, rate, hate, whatever. magemeek22
This seems like a very useful card. Its easy to use and effective for a variety of reasons: Easy Materials: There are no restrictions on the card's materials, and for such a bland effect, it seems fitting that there shouldn't be. Additionally, the monster is Level 5, meaning that there are a LOT of combos that can be used to summon it (basically, anyone that uses Catastor could just as easily use this) Situational but Ideal: The monster's effect just degrades one of your opponent's monsters; its an effect that can be really useful against Battlin Boxers and other annoyingly powerful cards. It can help you overcome a single beatstick, which would only be a problem in a few situations. However, in any of those situations, this would be a card worth summoning. High Stand-alone Power: People hate to make powerful monsters; its always the classic "Oh I'll give this guy weak ATK and just give him a super OP effect". Fortunately, your monster stands up and against that dogma, so props. All compliments aside, there are some shortcomings worth considering: Situational becomes Super Situational: Your monster already has a subpar effect, as in it isn't really too useful in the current meta. I'm not criticizing the effect's usefulness, however; my vendetta lies in the targeting portion. Why target the monster? Its not like you're destroying it or something...all you're doing is weakening it. Its rare enough that you need to use this effect, but in the cases that you do, wouldn't it be best to make the effect work even if your opponent's monster is untargetable (think Hazy Flame)? Lack of Power: This is just a personal opinion - its not a really formal criticism. I was just wondering, since your monster is an ATK-decreasing beatstick, maybe having his effect be continuous could make it more powerful? Perhaps changing it so that your opponent's highest ATK monster loses 1000 ATK permanently? As in: "While you control this face-up card, your opponent's monster with the highest ATK loses 1000 ATK." NOTE: this is just a thought, its not a criticism. I'm not saying you should change it; I'm just tossing ideas. Reworked Card: 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters When this card is Synchro Summoned, the monster your opponent controls with the highest ATK loses 1000 ATK. (If it's a tie, you get to choose.) Sora1499
Goddamn that is a thorough review. I do appreciate your suggestions, and I think I'll follow through with them. Also, regarding your point about a permanent decrease, the way the card is worded now, the decrease is permanent. Thanks for the review.
