Neokataklyst
Hi, so back in the day I had an account here but not much activity so I left for a WHILE now. But now I'm back and kinda new to all of this new OCG things and stuff. So starting fresh, here's my first card and my first try at XYZ. Hope you like it and feel free to comment on OCG errors, tips and what not... Lore: 3 level 4 Fiend-Type monsters Must be Xyz Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. If a Fiend-type monster you control would be destroyed by battle, you can detach 1 XYZ Material from this card instead and target the monster that attacked or was attacked by your monster; banish that card. When there are no Xyz materials left on this card: You can banish this card from play to Special Summon (from your Graveyard) 1 Xyz material monster used for its Xyz Summon on your side of the field. murdermajig
I think the effect is a little off "When your opponent declares an attack to a Fiend-type monster you control:" That should do it. I think thats it's a pretty cool card though
magemeek22
"When your opponent declares an attack to a Fiend-type monster you control:" That should do it. Sorry murdermajig, but that wouldn't cut it. In fact, that OCG is probably worse. The correct OCG (or as close as I can get it) is as follows: Must be Xyz Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. If a Fiend-type monster you control would be destroyed by battle, you can detach 1 XYZ Material from this card instead and target the monster that attacked or was attacked by your monster; destroy that target. As far as a review goes, the card is pretty cool. It's a little hard to get out though...not to mention it really only prevents battle destruction and that's not too useful of an effect for the current meta. Perhaps banishing the opponent's monster would be a good addition... its more effective than destroying, and it really makes it more reasonable to require 3 XYZ Materials. Otherwise, you may as well make it a 2-Material XYZ with something around 2300 ATK. Idk you'll need to give more input before I can do a full review/recommendation. Neokataklyst
Thanks, I'll see into it, kinda adjusting to the new OCG as previously said. Gonna make some changes then.
Neokataklyst
Updated, tried to make the effect a little bit more worth it the difficulty to summon due to the Fiend-Type Xyz monsters restriction.
magemeek22
I think what you added just made it overpowered...I like the thought of adding a "when there are no XYZ Materials left, you can..." but its not reasonable to be able to Summon every monster that was used. Maybe you can put an effect that triggers when your monster is destroyed that lets you special summon 1 of its XYZ Materials from the Graveyard? WindupRabbitFan14
Must be Xyz Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. If a Fiend-Type monster you control would be destroyed by battle; you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead. If you do, target the monster that battled your monster; Banish that target. You can banish this card with no Xyz Material; Special Summon (from your Graveyard) the Xyz Material Monsters used for its Xyz Summon. Apart from that the card seems pretty hard to summon but pretty damn powerful if you do, I like it. I'm not sure if I'd let it summon back all three monsters, maybe by letting it summon one back instead it would fare better. It's definitely a neat idea - I'd just say a Maestroke on steroids.
