1st post in Realistic Cards.

A random series of LIGHT Xyz Monsters named after stars, each with a different even-numbered Rank (from 2 to 12). They share a few features each other, but don't really form a coherent group that would play well in one deck, rather focusing on each being unique to themselves.

Lore:

2 level 2 monsters
If this monster has 2 or more Fairy-Type Xyz Materials and you control at least 1 other monster, this monster cannot be targeted by attacks. Detach 1 Xyz Material: Target 1 monster, that monster loses 500 ATK, and if it does, it gains 500 DEF.

"Vega" is named after the brighest star in the constellation Lyra, which is also why it is called the "Song of the Heavens", as Lyra is named after the musical instrument lyre.
Lore:

2 level 4 monsters
This monster gains 200 ATK for each Beast-Type monster attached to it as Xyz Material. Detach 1 Xyz Material: Discard 1 card from your hand, and if you do, your opponent discards 1 random card out of their hand.

"Sirius" is named after the brighest star in the night sky, located in the constellation Canis Major, and is also known as the Dog Star, which is where this monster gains its epithet "Dog of the Heavens" from.
Lore:

2 level 6 monsters
Once per turn, detach 1 Xyz Material: Target 1 face-up monster, double that monster's ATK until the End Phase, but that monster's controller takes damage equal to the change of ATK caused by this effect. If this monster has no Xyz Materials during your End Phase, destroy it.

"Betelgeuze" is named after a red giant star in the constellation Orion. The type of star is also the source of its epithet "Giant of the Heavens" and its Pyro typing.

Lore:

2 level 8 monsters
If this monster has 2 or more Dragon-Type Xyz Materials, it cannot be destroyed by card effects. Detach 1 Xyz Material: Target 1 monster on the Field, change its battle position, and if you do, the controller of that monster takes damage equal to the difference between that monster's ATK and DEF.

"Thuban" is named after the common name of the star Alpha Draconis, which is one of the brighests stars in the constellation Draco. The constellation is where it gets its Type and epithet (Dragon) from.
Lore:

2 level 10 monsters
At any time detach 1 Xyz Material: The current Phase of the Duel is skipped. This monster gains effects depending on how many Warrior-Type monsters are attached to it as Xyz Materials:
- 1: This monster's effects cannot be negated.
- 2 or more: This monster is not affected by your opponent's card effects.

"Polaris" is named "Nail of the Heavens" after an ancient Finnish belief according to which the sky was a spinning dome standing on top of the World Pillar that held it up, and the star Polaris, the North Star, was the nail that held the dome of the sky in place on top of the pillar. This belief stood from the fact that when looking at the northern night sky, it appears as if it's spinning around the North Star due to the fact that the North Star is the star closest to the north pole of the sky.
Lore:

2 level 12 monsters
This monster gains the effects of its Xyz Materials. If this monster is Xyz Summoned by using 2 or more Fairy-Type monsters as the Xyz Material Monsters, negate the effects of all monsters the opponent controls. Once per turn, detach 1 Xyz Material: Return 1 monster the opponent controls to their deck, and if you do, send the top card of your deck to the graveyard.

"Deneb" is named after a blue supergiant star in the constellation Cygnus, a star notable for its high luminosity amongst nearby stars.
