New Galaxy Boss: Galaxion Zed Overlord

Basically, I decided to take Neo Galaxy-Eyes' concept and evolve it into a card which can be used against more than just Xyzs. It's also the first card which I've tweaked around with graphically to try different rarities (secret rare holo credit goes to .joke).

Comments and suggestions are appreciated!

Effect:
3 Level 8 LIGHT monsters
If “Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon” is attached to this card as Xyz Material: This card cannot be targeted by your opponent’s card effects. Once per turn, during either player’s turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the effects of all face-up monsters your opponent controls until the End Phase. If an Xyz monster has its effect negated this way: Detach all Xyz Materials attached to that monster. During the Damage Step, when this card attacks an Xyz monster that has no Xyz Material attached to it: The attack target’s ATK becomes 0 until the End Phase.

Spoilers don't seem to be working properly, so I've posted the card in alternate rarities below.

My god. That's an amazing boss monster for them, I might even say that it's a little bit too good. A full field negate with no targeting and on top of that, it reduces ATK to 0 and detaches PLUS it got 4500 freaking ATK. I can't really say I dig that. Photons are very OTK-ish, if they fail to get going, they are kind of done for, getting this guy out will most of the time leave you winning though, which I don't think is very smart. It's not that hard to get out either, I mean, look at the cards that they have. I would consider making this not as insanely powerful. The text is a bit off here and there, so I'll fix that for you:

At the start of the Damage Step, (Since it's mandatory, you got to have a point where it triggers, so I put "at the start of the Damage Step" instead, you can change it yourself later) if this card attacks an opponent's Xyz Monster: The attack target's ATK becomes 0 until the End Phase.

I disagree entirely. The field negation is well deserved on such a hard to Summon boss monster, and the reduction of attack is to stick to flavour and reward the player for killing Xyz monsters. It has no form of protection for itself, though, which is where it falls short. You said you'd win if you whip this guy out, well that is the hard part. Warning, Bottomless, Compulsory, Fiendish Chain (until the can remove it via other means), then BP shenanigans like D-Prison and Mirror Force all make this card rather hard to "pull off", especially in a Set 5 format. Plus, I like the idea of him sending out this pulse that makes monsters effect-less and Xyz monsters react violently to such a pulse. Very flavourful, and very worth Summoning.

You must have missed the Hazy Flame clause. Do you play Photons? They can easily get out a 3-mat Level 8 if they wanted to. And I mean, sure it has counters, but you're bringing out a Skill Drain for your opponent's monsters only with a 4500 body to protect it.

A win condition is perfectly fine in a deck that has little competitive worth. Ever play vs. D-Hero Plasma? It gets rid of one of your monsters and is easier to Summon, and usually reaches a sizeable body of high 2000s-low 3000s, which is more than enough on a walking Skill Drain. Also, this guy needs to detach, so if he detachs to negate a Normal Summoned monsters effect or whatnot, then they pull off another effect, it can't do anything about it. I've played Photons, and I know they can bring out 3mat Rank 8, but just because they can doesn't mean it shouldn't be powerful. Its such a resource dump that it better have a game changing effect.

Though it appears that Ghostrickster has been banned, I appreciate the OCG fix.

And thanks for your review, Therrion - you basically got what I had in mind. Its effect negation ability causes your opponent to think carefully before making plays, which creates good player interaction. And really, aside from the non-targeting effect, the card basically does what Neo Galaxy does in a more effective way - both cards negate effects and detach from Xyzs, though this card's effect negation is a bit more versatile.
