This fanfic has been written by both me and Kaibaman21, you can ask him on janime. It has been a while since it has ended, but I figured you guys might be interested.

Part 1: Clash in Hisehade City! Aim to be Number One!

 

A large cruise ship sailed across the ocean. On it’s deck were many different kinds of people, some of them were duelists bound for the McFlinn Company Tournament held in Hisehade City. Four friends, Hikaru Inoue, Ian Gibson, Vanessa Brazes, and Logan Waller, were all watching over the side of the ship. "How much longer?" asked Ian. "Relax little man," said Logan, "We’ll get there in time for the tournament." "Anyone seen Kenneth?" asked Vanessa. "He’s trying to find his sea legs," said Hikaru.

 

On another part of the ship, Kenneth Ayoob was ralphing over the edge. "Why did it have to be on a boat?" he groaned, "Why couldn’t we be flown there? I can handle a plane." He decided to head below deck, but he ran into another young man. "In a hurry?" he asked. "I’m sorry," said Kenneth, "I just don’t want to look at anything remotely resembling an ocean for a while." The young man chuckled. Kenneth looked up and saw a large dragon behind the young man, but no one else seemed to notice. "A dragon," Kenneth gasped. "You can see him?" asked the young man, "This is my spirit partner, Mega Eternal Seadragon." Kenneth own spirit partners, Kuriboh and Kaibaman, appeared next to him. "Two?" asked the young man. "Yeah," said Kenneth, "Looks like you can see them too. Oh, I’m sorry. I never introduced myself. I’m Kenneth." "Kamon," said the man. "Huh?" Kenneth questioned. "My name," said Kamon, "See ya later."

 

Below deck, a black clad duelist named Brandon Delgado was knocking out duelists left and right. "This is boring," he said. "Save your energy for the tournament," said Kenneth. "How about I save it only for you?" asked Brandon, "As far as I’m concerned you’re the only decent duelist on this boat next to me." The two of them continued to exchanged angry stares. For as long as they could remember, they were bitter rivals. "There wouldn’t be any fun in trashing you now," said Brandon, "So consider this a declaration of war. I’ll be crushing you in the tournament." "We’ll see," said Kenneth.

 

Meanwhile, Kamon was relaxing on the fiesta deck with his friends Sara, Lean, and Jen. "So he could see your Dragon?" asked Lean. "Yep," said Kamon, "He was definetly the champion of the KC Ultimate Masters Tournament." "Try calling your father," said Sara, "He’ll be glad to know that the famous Kenneth Ayoob accepted his invitation." Kamon got out his cell phone, but it switched off. "Out of juice," said Kamon, "No big deal. When we dock, I’ll tell him."

 

The ship dropped anchor at the Hisehade City Harbor. "Finally!" yelled Kenneth, "I feel better already!" "You know," said Ian, "I have a cure for sea sickness." "Save it for the way back," said Kenneth, "So, where are we suppossed to go?" "On that bus," said Hikaru, "It’s an escort for competetors and their guests, paid for by McFlinn Co." As they boarded, Kenneth looked back, thinking he saw a strange man in the crowd. "Are you coming?" asked Vanessa. Kenneth regained composure and ran to his seat.

 

Later, when they were getting off, Kenneth was stupefied by the sight of the McFlinn Co. Building. "Don’t look so shocked," said Brandon, "The city tends to have larger buildings than Mack Town. Of course, I expected this reaction from you." "Save the trash talk for the tournament," said Logan. "Mind your own beeswax, Shorty," said Brandon. "SHORTY?!" yelled Logan. "Chill," said Kenneth, "And don’t worry Brandon. I’m in the right frame of mind for a duel."

 

Inside the arena, Kenneth looked at the brackets for the tournament. "What a shame," said Brandon, "We won’t be able to duel until the finals." "These other duels’ll give a chance to warm up," said Kenneth. "Hey," said a familiar voice. "Kamon," said Kenneth. "It’s good to see you in the tournament too," said Kamon, "My friend Lean and I are registered too. Maybe we’ll cross paths along the way." "Here’s hoping," said Kenneth. As Kamon walked off, Vanessa said, "Don’t you know who that was?" "That was my new friend Kamon," said Kenneth. "He’s the son of the richest man in Hisehade City, Glenn McFlinn," said Hikaru. "That’s all?" asked Kenneth. "Not quite," said Ian, "He was the duelist who dethroned the regional champion. He’s Kamon McFlinn, a legend in this city." Kenneth had a shocked look on his face. He had trouble realizing that his new friend was a famous duelist.

 

Later, the tournament began to rage. Brandon was ending his first match. "Go, Infernal Dragon," he yelled, "Direct attack!" "That won’t work," said his opponent, "My Dark Wall of Wind blocks direct attacks." "But not this," Brandon said, "I play Trap Jammer, which negates any Traps used during the Battle Phase. Now, if I may resume, attack!"

Duelist: 0

 

‘As I thought,’ thought Brandon, ‘My Chthonian Dragon Deck is invincible. You’re finished this time Kenneth." In another match, Kenneth was struggling with his duel. "Tough break Ayoob," said his opponent, "But with the three gadgets combined with Stronghold the Moving Fortress, I have the Ultimate Defense." "Not if I cut down your Gadgets," said Kenneth, "Necroshade and Sparkman, fuse into Dark Brightman." "No way!" "Destroy Green Gadget!" After Dark Brightman destroyed the gadget, Kenneth defused it. "Without all three gadgets," said Kenneth, "Stronghold has no attack points. Sparkman, Attack!"

Duelist: 0

 

"All right!" yelled Kenneth. He then saw Ian ending his duel quickly, cutting down his opponent’s Ultimate Obedient Fiend with a combo of Ninja Master-Ryu and True Dragon Sword. "Nice one Ian," said Kenneth. "Looks like we’re dueling next," said Ian. In another part of the arena, a large dragon, similar to what Kenneth saw on the boat appeared. "Mega Eternal Seadragon," said Kamon, "Finish him." The blast knocked his opponent on his back. "Thanks for the duel," Kamon said as he walked away. "Amazing," Kenneth said, "That thing’s huge." "That could be a problem," said Kaibaman. ‘I promised myself not to,’ thought Kenneth, ‘But if I have to, I’ll need to summon Blue-Eyes Neos."

 

At the end of the first round, the duels for the next round were decided. "I guess I didn’t do my best," said Vanessa. "At least you lasted longer than I did," said Logan. "Better luck next time guys," said Kenneth, "I guess I should focus on my match with Ian." "Nice job Kenneth," said Kamon, "You made it. I’ll see you in the finals." "You won’t get the chance," said Brandon, "If anyone’s going to duel him, it’s me." "I saw your match too," said Kamon, "You guys must be the first duelists to make me break a sweat." Graem, the security guard of the McFlinn Company walked up to Kamon and said, "Your father needs to talk to you about something." "Okay," said Kamon, "I’ll be back in time for my match."

 

In his office, Glenn looked like he was concerned about something. "What did you want to talk to me about?" asked Kamon. "Our family is in the middle of a crisis," said Glenn, "It has come to my attention that shares of our company are falling into the hands of a mysterious corparation. The DarkTech Corporation." "Who’re they?" asked Kamon. "We don’t know," said Graem, "We checked every online business database, and there wasn’t a shred of information on them." "That’s not the point," said Glenn, "The point is that they are threatening the future of this company and the McFlinn family. But there is hope. Our sources have tipped us off about spies in the company. Kamon, I leave you this task: Between your matches in the tournament, search the company and uncover the spies." "As you wish," said Kamon. "I will let you know when you’re up, sir," said Graem, handing him a walkie-talkie.

 

Elsewhere, mysterious men in black business suits, were typing away at laptops, while a mysterious figure watched. "Boss," said his assisstant, "I have bad news. McFlinn is on to us." "This could be a problem," said the boss, "If our spies are uncovered, everything will be ruined." "There are hundreds of companies," said the asisstant, "Why the McFlinn Company?" "Because," said the boss, "The McFlinn Company is one of the biggest companies in the Gaming World, alongside Kaiba Corporation and Industrial Illusions. What the three have in common is that they are connected with the most popular Trading Card Game in the world: Duel Monsters. Control them, and you control the world. McFlinn is number three, so I’m starting there. Once I dethrone Glenn McFlinn and claim his company, Seto Kaiba and Maximilian Pegasus will be easy pickings. Inform our spies. Tell them that we may have a snag in our plan."

 

Back at the arena, Kenneth was wondering where Kamon was. ‘He’s missing this duel,’ he thought. Brandon wasted no time in finishing his duel. "Initiate Double Attack," said Brandon.

"That will teach you to mess with me," said Brandon. Kamon arrived in the arena. "Aw man," he said, "I missed the duel." "But you’re just in time for yours," said Sara, who then whispered to him, "I was filled in on the situation. We have reason to believe that this guy Wing is a DarkTech spy." "Understood," whispered Kamon, "I’ll use him to flush out the other spies." As Kamon walked up, the Announcer said, "Next up, our hometown hero Kamon McFlinn vs the mysterious Wing."

Part 2: The Phantom Rider, Wing!

 

"That will teach you to mess with me," said Brandon. Kamon arrived in the arena. "Aw man," he said, "I missed the duel." "But you’re just in time for yours," said Sara, who then whispered to him, "I was filled in on the situation. We have reason to believe that this guy Wing is a DarkTech spy." "Understood," whispered Kamon, "I’ll use him to flush out the other spies." As Kamon walked up, the Announcer said, "Next up, our hometown hero Kamon McFlinn vs the mysterious Wing."

 

Kamon walked upon the stage, while Brandon, Sara and Graem who joined Brandon and Sara, watch the opponent. Wing is a cloaked, not really tall man and saw Kamon approaching and thought “Is this the opponent my master was talking about? He doesn’t really seem to be tough. Is this a joke?”. “Hi there,” Wing heard Kamon saying,”You’re supposed to be the opponent. It is a pleasure to meet you.” “The pleasure is all mine, young McFlinn, when I crush you.” “That`s something I’ve heard a lot of times and everybody who was saying so, ended up defeated by me.” “Maybe that`s how I will end, but if you want our company, then you will have to get past me.” Kamon was not scared of Wing. “Well, how about? Start our duel?”, Kamon asked, looking at all the spectators watching the match. “Yes I believe that`s the best way to get to your company. How do they say that again?” “Let`s duel!” Kamon tells him. “Oh yes, let`s duel!”.

Kenneth joins Sara and Graem, while Brandon is sitting somewhere else. “You’re just in time to see Kamon starting his match.” “Good, that`s what I was hoping for,” Kenneth says, “You know, I didn’t realize that Kamon was the one who beated the regional champion.” Sara looks at him directly saying “Oh, there is more you don’t know yet.” “And you? What is that tension between you and Brandon?” Graem asks Kenneth. “Oh that`s a story I’m not going to tell yet.” “OK, let`s watch the duel, shall we?” and Sara, Kenneth and Graem set their sights on the duel between Wing and Kamon.

 

Wing and Kamon were on the field, dueldisc`s activated, decks inserted and ready to duel. “Since I’m the son of the boss of the company, I allow you to go first” Kamon tells Wing. “Ok, draw!” Wing said and drew a card. “I play Ride of the Phantom (spellcard – Special summon one level-4 or lower monster with “Phantomic” in it`s name to the field),” a green card appeared with a phantom motorcycle on it, “Go my Phantomic Rider – Goanji (4/1200/1000/dark/machine/When this card is destroyed, you only need one monster for a next tribute-summon). That`s not all I may still normal summon another monster,” Wing drew out a card, “Go Phantom Buster (3/600/600/dark/fiend/Cut the attack in half in order to attack directly). I can half his attack in order to attack you directly. Go, Busting Claw!” Kamon grasped for air, when the monster hits him and his lifepoints drop to 3700. “Good opening move. Now it is my turn,” Kamon said and he drew a card, seeing his favourite Mega-Eternal-Seadragon, “I first play Pot of Greed (spellcard – Draw two cards).” He drew two cards and thought ‘Damn, I still don’t have the right cards in order to summon it’. “OK, I first play Dreamsprite (4/500/500/light/fairy/ gain 500 lifepoints per turn that this card is on the field. When it is destroyed gain an additional 500 lifepoints), so I gain 500 lifepoints,” Kamon saw his lifepoints shot up to 4200, “Then I play the magiccard Brave Wanderer (spellcard - Summon one monster directly to the field from your hand. It must be a warrior-type monster) and summon Asaque from the Dark (6/1200/1800/dark/fiend/increase the attack of this monster by 1000 per turn it is face-up in attackmode and it hasn’t attacked). That`s all for now”. The crowds were cheering both duellists on as they faced of.

Glenn McFlinn was watching his son`s duel on the monitor, when his telephone buzzed. “Yes?” he asked. “Mr. McFlinn, Mr. Dosser of the DarkTech Corporation wants a video conference call,” Glenn thought why the DarkTech Corporation wishes to have a conference call with him, “Should I put it through?” “Yes, do so and record it, please”. “Yes, sir” his secretary, Mrs. Dulfer tells him and on the big screen in Glenn`s room the presidenf of DarkTech appears. “Mr. McFlinn, how nice of you to allow me to speak with you”, however Glenn knew this tone was not just for chatting, this was for real. “What is it that I can do for you, Mr. Dosser?” Glenn answers to the man. “I suspect you have seen your stocks raising very hard. That`s because my company, DarkTech Corporation has been buying your stocks for the past few months. We are on our way to become one of the largest stockholders in your company,” and the man smiles, “And if I may say so, if your representing duellists all lose in the finals, I think the public won’t have much trust in you when you’re company loses in this tournament”. “What is what you want then?” Glenn asked him directly, “All I want are the secrets to duel-technology McFlinn Co possesses. I’ll make you a bargain, when my duellists win the tournament, you’ll give anything we desire.” “Ok, but if my duellists win, or anyone representing the McFlinn Co, then you will forever retreat from the international business.” “Then we have a deal” Mr. Dosser said. The screen switches of and Glenn watches the monitor showing the duel of his son.

 

“It is my turn again. First of all I activate the special ability of Phantomic Buster, to half his lifepoints and attack you directly” Wing said. The Phantomic Buster, a greenclad ghostly man, strikes Kamon in the chest, lowering his lifepoints to 3900. Wing drew a card, “Excellent, I activate the continious spellcard Phantomic Dream (continious spellcard – When a monster with “Phantomic” in it`s name is destroyed, you can summon up to as much monsters as you want with a total of levelstars equel to the monster destroyed). Then I play my Phantomic Rider – Likaishi (4/1500/1200/dark/machine/this card cannot be destroyed when it is in attackmode. Cut the attackpoints in half and you can attack directly).” “Hang on, Phantomic Rider – Likaishi is a forbidden card in this tournament” the referee says. Kamon watches Wing, thinking ‘If I want to know what is going on in DarkTech Corporation, I have to beat him’. “Let him continue the duel” Kamon tells the referee. The referee announces “The duel will continue”. “Good to finish my move, I play Phantomic Arena (fieldmagiccard – Increase all monsters with “Phantomic” in the name by 400 attack – and defencepoints. All monsters with “Phantomic” in the name will be lowered by one levelstar) and set one card,” and Wing laughs, “Now go my Phantomic Rider – Likaishi (1900/1600), half your lifepoints and go for a direct attack”. Kamon grabs his chest and tries to breath as his lifepoints drop to 2950. “This duel is far from over. You may have 4000 lifepoints and thus more then me, but I have something you don’t have” “What is that?” Wing asked. “Faith in my deck and my victory. First my Asaque`s level grows to 2200/1800 because of his effect to raise his attackpoints per turn it is face-up and hasn’t attacked. Then I gain 500 lifepoints because of Dreamsprite (3450),” Kamon draws a card, “And then I play the magiccard Quick-Seal Silver (magiccard – You first must gain 500 lifepoints or more, then you can keep a monster from attacking for three fulls turns. It’s position cannot be changed and can’t be used as a tribute and it’s effect can’t be activated. When the three turns are over, you must pay 1000 lifepoints). I use Quick-Seal Silver on Likaishi”. Wing growled, this wasn’t as he had planned

 

“Quick-Seal Silver is the card, Kamon used in order to defeat the regional champ years ago. The duel why he became so famous” Sara explains to Kenneth, who was watching the duel with interest. “So he first froze the attacking monster and then defeated the opponent in three turns,” Kenneth said as he did watched that duel which was broadcasted all over the world, “I can’t wait to face Kamon himself” “Yes, Kamon defeated the opponent after he used Quick-Seal Silver and then his markscard, Mega-Eternal-Seadragon. He and that dragon have a special connection” Graem told Kenneth. “Like I and my Kaibaman and my Kuriboh?” “Yes, just like you” Graem tells Kenneth.

 

“I’m not finished yet. I play Seadragon Hatchling (3/400/0/light/dragon/tribute this card to summon a Mega-Eternal-Seadragon) in defencemode,” a smaller version of a Mega-Eternal-Seadragon who just broke from the egg appears, “I do not yet activate the effect. I first attack with Asaqua and destroy your Goanji, thus lowering your lifepoints to 3000. Then I play the magiccard Trump Card (spellcard – When you attacked a monster on your opponent`s side of the field with “Asequa from the Dark”, you can summon any monster from your deck to the field),” the field is lit with white light, “Go my Mega-Eternal-Seadragon (8/3400/3000/light/dragon/ increase his attack and defence by 100 per monster it destroys. Select one of the following effects: - Get one card back from the graveyard at every end of the turn this dragon is on the field. - Draw an extra card). Go Blaze Lightening!”, and the dragon destroys Phantom Buster,”Your lifepoints drop to 200 and my dragon`s level raises to 3500/3100” “You’re good and you’re dragon is strong, but I’m not done yet. Because of my Goanji who has been send to the graveyard by your monster, I can summon a monster and I only require one monster. So go my Likaishi”, but nothing happens. “Forgot something? My Quick-Seal Silver card?”. Wing thought ‘Damned, he has me’. “What an amazing duel! Kamon rendered Wing`s last monster useless” someone in the crowd said. Wing drew a card and laughs. “This duel is not over yet”.

 

“This final phase has just begun. First I open my facedown card, the trapcard Illusionary Target (trapcard – Transfer the effect of a magiccard to this card and destroy both cards). Thereby I destroy your Quick-Seal Silver,’ Wing laughs and sees how the spellcard of Kamon is destroyed, “Then I play Pot of Greed and draw two cards.” “Good, now what?” Kamon asked Wing. “Now I play Phantomic Maestro (6/2100/2400/dark/fiend/increase your lifepoints when it is summoned to the field by 1000 lifepoints) and my lifepoints raise to 1200. Then I play the equipmentcard Phantomic Blaze (equip spellcard – Equip this card to a monster with “Phantomic” in it`s name and raise the level with 500 attack – and defencepoints. When the monster who carries this card is destroyed, destroy this card instead). I equip it to my Maestro (2100/2400  2500/2800  3000/3300). Now Maestro destroy his Aseque!” Aseque is destroyed and Kamon watches how his lifepoints drop to 2650.

 

Sara, Kenneth and Graem watch the duel with a lot of interest. “That duel is tense” Kenneth says. “Yes, I don’t remember someone gave Kamon such a match during the last 10 matches” Graem answers. Then his phone rings and he picks it up. “This is Graem,” he listens, “Yes sir, I will be there”. Sara looks at him. “What`s wrong?” “I don’t know yet. Tell Kamon he should keep himself to his mission, I’ll meet up with you soon” says Graem. “We will, Graem” Kenneth answers.

 

“This duel is over. I tribute my Seadragon Hatchling for Mega-Eternal-Seadragon (3400/3000). Now with my two dragons on the field I have more then enough power to defeat you. Go, my dragons, Blaze Lightening!” Kamon yells. The first one hits Wing`s Maestro of the first Mega-Eternal-Seadragon (3500/3100), lowering his lifepoints to 700. Then the second blast hits Wing directly, lowering his lifepoints to 0. “Master, I’m sorry, I failed you”.

 

Kamon – 2650

Wing – 0

 

Kamon walked over to Wing. “I now want to know what DarkTech Corporation is going to do with my father`s company” “That`s something I don’t even know. I’m just a messenger. You and your friends must be on your guard, there might be much more at stake then just the winning in this tournament” “What are you talking about?” “You’ll see soon enough”. Wing starts to shake madly. “What the heck happens to him?” Kamon asks panickly. The referee comes to see Wing and looks at the eyes of Wing. “It looks like his soul is gone. A body can stay on earth even without a soul. Now the body of Wing is soulless” the referee tells Kamon in horror. Kamon goes of the stage.

 

“Kamon, you beated him. Congratulations” Sara said as she flung her arms around him. “Thank you, Sara. You were right, it was a spy from DarkTech. However before he had the chance to tell me something, his soull was taken. How I don’t know, why I don’t know either. We can’t question him anymore”. He watches as medics pulled the soulless body of Wing away from the stage. “That was an absolutely awesome duel, Kamon” Kamon heard Kenneth say. “Thank you, Kenneth. Where is Graem?” says Kamon. “He had to go somewhere. He told us to tell you to keep yourself to your mission” Sara said. “That`s something I will do for certain” “He Kamon, Kamon!” Kamon heard someone yelling to him. A blonde boy and a brown haired girl arrived from the other side of the stage. “Ah yes, Kenneth, may I introduce you to Lean and Jen, two very good friends of mine?” “Of course, it is a pleasure to meet you” Kenneth said as he shaked hands with both. Brandon came down the stages and said to Kamon “Nice duel. I can’t wait to duel both you and Kenneth” “Well, if you want that title of champion of this tournament, you certainly have to get past me and Kenneth. We are both planning to win” Kamon replied. “I’ll see you later, punk” Brandon said to Kamon. “Don’t get on his wrong side” Sara told Kamon. “I wasn’t planning too”.

 

The PA (Public Announcer) announced the following match. “Next match will be Kenneth versus Denon”. “That`s supposed to be an awesome duellist. She uses insects” Kamon said. “You duelled her before?” Kenneth asked. “Twice. One win and a draw” Kamon replied. “Kamon, I was told by Graem to let you know you have to go to your father`s office again. They found something” Jen told Kamon. “Tell him I’ll be there. Sorry, Kenneth, maybe I’ll be able to see the last part of the match” Kamon said and rushed of.

Part 3: Kenneth vs Denon! Insect Invasion

 

The PA, announced the following match. "Next match will be Kenneth versus Denon". "That’s supposed to be an awesome duelist. She uses insects," Kamon said. "You duelled her before?" Kenneth asked. "Twice. One win and a draw." "Kamon, I was told by Graem to let you know you have to go to your father’s office again. They found something." Jen told Kamon. "Tell him I’ll be there. Sorry, Kenneth, maybe I’ll be able to see the last part of the match," Kamon said and rushed off.

 

At Glenn’s office, Kamon heard about the deal. "So, there are more duelists representing the DarkTech Corporation in the tournament," said Kamon. "Yes," said Glenn, "It seems Mr. Dosser, the head of the corporation, is after our innovations in Duel Technology. And I think that the DarkTech Duelists aren’t just in the tournament." "It gets worse," said Kamon, "I seems after I beat Wing, his soul was drained." "Stranger still," said Glenn.

"I place a monster face-down," said Denon, "And I set a card. Turn End." "Not much of an opening move," said Kenneth, "Here’s one more up my alley. I activate Polymerization (Spell Card-Fuse 2 or more Monsters to summon a Fusion Monster). I’ll merge my Avian and Burstinatrix to summon Elemental Hero Flame Wingman (6/2100/1200-Wind-Warrior/Fusion/Effect-When this card destroys a monster as a result of battle, that Monster’s ATK comes out of your opponent’s Life Points). Time for your card to flame out. Attack!" As the card flipped over, it was revealed to be Pinch Hopper. "Uh-Oh," said Lean. "What’s wrong?" asked Logan. "When Pinch Hopper is destroyed," said Vanessa, "Denon can summon any Insect in her hand." "I summon my Insect Queen (7/2200/2400-Earth-Insect/Effect-This monster cannot attack unless you tribute one of your Monsters.
