"Lord of Skull Knight" and the Conditional Tribute Summon Mechanic

TRUE RULER^(Imper.Di )

Recommended Posts

I'm reposting a card that I had previously posted(a year+ ago?) Because it is the first of a line of cards that I use that make use of a 'Special' Tribute Summon. A Tribute Summon that can occur during either turn(almost any part of the turn too) under specified Circumstances.

I want to know what everyone else thinks of this mechanic(NOTE: I understand that Tribute Summons will never be as efficient as Special Summons). The point is to fill the gap a little.

As for the card itself:

The purpose was to combo with Skull Knight #2 but I also wanted to make Tribute Summons more do-able and more efficient.

Lore: If you Special Summon a "Skull Knight" monster, you can Tribute Summon this monster this turn(in addition to your Normal Summon) using only that monster as Tribute, only 1 "Lord of Skull Knight" can be Summoned in this way each turn. If you Tribute Summon this monster by Tributing a Fiend-Type monster(s), you can Special Summon 1 Level 5 or lower DARK monster from your graveyard.

Anyone willing to make use of this mechanic?

Rate. Upsides. Downsides. Willingness to repeat.
