Black Duston

DARK - Fiend

Rank 1

ATK - 0 / DEF - 1000

3 Level 1 "Duston" Monsters
You can Xyz Summon this monster to your opponent's side of the field using all "Duston" monsters they control as the Xyz Materials, ignoring their effects. The controller of this face-up card cannot Tribute, Fusion, Synchro or Xyz Summon. This card cannot be destroyed by battle while it has Xyz Materials. When this card's controller Summons a monster, detach 1 Xyz Material from this card and switch it to face-up attack position. When this card is destroyed, you can Special Summon 1 "House Duston"from your hand or Deck.

I do admit that Duston is an interesting (and seemingly annoying) archetype to play.. but personally, I'm not sure this is playable, as summoning effect to your opponent's field is kinda complicated and the ATK gaining effect would seem like you're technically giving your opponent a free 4500-ATK beater (unless you'll  take it back with Owner's Seal). Some of my suggestion for this card to be playable:-

1. Try to lighten down the required Xyz Materials to "3 Level 1", and make it more generic (instead of putting Duston in the requirement)

2. For the summoning effect to your opponent's field, you can put "using all "Duston" monsters" instead of specifically mentioning exact no. of monsters required.

3. If most of the effects are meant to torment your opponent, change the ATK and DEF gain to only 200.

4. For the position-change effect, add some mild negative effect; for example: "When this card's controller Summons a monster: Detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; switch it to face-up Attack Position, and it loses 500 ATK".

5. Add one effect that is triggered when this card is destroyed on the field (like other "Duston" monsters). Preferably, effect that can be used to replenish the Duston monster, so that you can use their negative effects on your opponent again.

The specifics on your opponent is needed, as the effect is far too strong to make it only require 1 (as it would if it said the above suggestion).

Perhaps a "When this card has no Xyz Material: Destroy it, then, Special Summon 2 Level 1 "Duston" monsters from your Graveyard to your opponent's side of the field."

A built in timer on him, so when they Summon an amount you can deem your opponent slowed down enough. With the above, you could make it 3 materials needed as opposed to 5, also.

Changed his effect thanks to suggestions. :)

He now requires only 3 Dustons for his materials. Also, I removed the ATK gain and changed it to "This monster cannot be destroyed by battle while it has Xyz Materials." This makes him ore of a nuisance, because when his controller summons, he is switched to attack, leaving them wide open for essentially a direct attack. Also, when he is destroyed, you can summon a House Duston.

The effect of summoning "House Duston" is just brilliant ~~ need to mention whether summon from the Deck or Graveyard (or perhaps either one [with 2 options])... My suggested fix for this particular effect.

When this card on the field is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 "House Duston" from your Deck/Graveyard".

Anyone have any thoughts on this Duston?
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by its own Effect. This card cannot be used as a Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz Material for a Summon. While this card is face-up on the field, it cannot be Tributed. While you and your opponent control a "Black Duston", you can Special Summon this monster to either side of the field. When this card is destroyed, its controller wins the Duel.
I also made Burning, Drowning, Crushing, and Writhing Dustons for the other (current) 4, but as this has a win condition and is direclty related to this card, I thought I should check him up here first.

I wouldn't put the win effect for this card.while it can be somewhat difficult to use this guys effect (since you need him in your hand) the win effect is too much. This is similar to an Exodia, where (instead of finding five cards in your deck) you get three duston onto your opponents field, special summon Black Duston, then find this guy, special summon him, then use black hole or make him commit suicide (If you really want to keep the win effect, make it only "by your opponent's card effect(s)"). Insta-win. (Just to note, I hate insta-win effects.) I'd rather see this card cause your opponent more grief than you automatically winning the duel. However, I don't know much about duston cards and their strategies to win, but still, don't do an Insta-win effect (unless it is very, very good)d

Edit: you need to specify where to summon him from.

Thank you for your thoughts.

First note, it requires more than Black Duston on your opponents side, you need one yourself as well. I will however change it to "By your opponent's card effect, and of course specify from the hand.

I was considering an additional clause to his win condition, being there cant be ANY OTHER Duston in your Graveyard. Which of course is hard to achieve because of course his summon will detach a material from Black Duston. Just a consideration, let me know if this would be more/less balanced.
