newhat
Pain of Thanatos would be far too powerful for a Deck running only monsters (and such Decks do exist; look up "Monster Mash"). Despair doesn't have enough ATK to be dangerous, and Odium and Sorrow are on the slow side. This archetype doesn't have a recruiter, relying on mill to set up for Memory. Memory is useless if it's milled, and doesn't destroy anything until your End Phase, so it isn't consistent enough to be a good boss monster.
