Raviel the Phantom
When I first came to this site, I created a type of Zombie-Type monster called "Grave" monsters. These cards, while not powerful, use their effects by sending monsters to the graveyard. I decided to revamp them, give some new artwork, while others I gave new effects; polishing up their effects. I also added some new cards to the set as well. I do not own any of the artwork presented. Feel free to share your thoughts. Normal Monsters Effect Monsters This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by the effects of "Death with the Reaper". This card can attack twice during the same Battle Phase. During each of your End Phases, place 1 "Reaper Counter" on this card. When there are 3 "Reaper Counters" on this card, you lose the duel. This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard, unless it was Summoned to the field. This card can be Special Summoned by sending 2 "Grave" monsters from the field to the Graveyard. Increase the ATK and DEF of this card by 400 for each "Grave" monster in the Graveyard. When this card is Normal Summoned, send all cards in your hand to the Graveyard. Destroy 1 card on the field for each Zombie-Type monster sent to the Graveyard by this effect. This card cannot declare an attack the turn it was Summoned. During your End Phase, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard. When this card is sent to the Graveyard by this effect, you can add 1 "Grave" monster from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn, this card gains 1000 ATK for every "Grave" monster sent to the Graveyard until your next Standby Phase. If this card is drawn during the Draw Phase, reveal this card. Discard this card to the Graveyard, and then draw 1 card. At the start of your Battle Phase, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard. When this card is sent to the Graveyard by this effect, inflict 800 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points. During your Standby Phase, you can discard this card from your hand to the Graveyard. When this card is sent to the Graveyard by this effect, select 1 "Grave" monster on your side of the field. The selected monster gains 1000 ATK until the End Phase of your next turn. This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by the effects of "Curse of Knightmare". If "Haunted Grave" is on the field, this card cannot be destroyed by battle. When this card attacks, immediately destroy the attack target without applying damage calculation. When a monster is sent to the Graveyard by this effect, inflict 1500 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points. Fusion Monsters Wandering Grave + Grave Keeper This card can only be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck when the listed cards are in the Graveyard. (You do not use "Polymerization). This card can also be Special Summoned by the effects of "Unrest". Grave Patroller + Grave Rider This card can only be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck when the listed cards are in the Graveyard. (You do not use "Polymerization). This card can also be Special Summoned by the effects of "Unrest". Spell Cards This card can only be activated if "Grave of Knightmare", "Grave Rider", and "Grave Sword" are in the Graveyard. Special Summon 1 "Knightmare, the Dark Rider" from your hand or Deck. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, no monster card(s) can be removed from the Graveyard by any card effects. Additionally, increase the ATK and DEF of all "Grave" monsters by 500 points. Pay 1000 Life Points. Negate the effects of "Haunted Grave" until the End Phase of this turn. You can add up to 3 "Grave" monsters from your Graveyard to your hand. During your Main Phase, you can pay 500 Life Points to Special Summon 1 "Grave" monster, ignoring the effects of "Haunting Grave". The monster Special Summon by this effect can attack your opponent directly this turn. Destroy the monster during the End Phase of the turn you activate this effect. Trap Cards This card can only be activated when Battle or Effect damage would be inflicted to your Life Points that would bring your total Life Points to 0. Reduce the damage you would take to 0 by paying half of your remaining Life Points. Special Summon 1 "Grave Behemoth" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. Activate this card if your opponent attacks your Life Points directly. After damage calculation, destroy the attacking monster. Then, Special Summon this card: it is treated as a Normal Monster (Zombie-Type/DARK/Level 3/ATK ???/ DEF ???) (This card is still treated as a Trap Card). The ATK/DEF of this card is equal to the ATK of the monster destroyed by this card's effect. Remove from play 1 "Grave" monster from your Graveyard. Negate the activation of 1 Spell/Trap and destroy that card. Destroy 1 monster on your opponent's side of the field with the lowest ATK.
kean64li
Very interesting idea. The problem is that I think Gravekeepers could be considered Grave monsters. Haunted grave is a lot like Necrovalley. Unrest is also incredibly powerful with XYZ's existing.

DJ TeriyakiBoy
Wait. Focusing on "Deal with the Reaper", you cannot use that as a Quick-Play Trap Card because such card type doesn't really exist. Why not turn it into a Counter Trap Card? gokol
I think Grave Sword might be more interesting as Grave archtype unique union monster especially since union monsters that require the equipped monsters to be of a certain archtype don't exist yet in canon. Heck I don't remember seeing someone make one before either.
