Guest Imperiused
Type: Spell Spell type: Normal Card text Activate only 1 of the following effects: • Gain 500 Life Points. Banish 1 WATER Monster from your Graveyard, send to your Graveyard 1 of your banished cards (other than the one just banished). • Pay 500 Life Points. Target 1 face-down Spell or Trap card on the field and destroy it. The target cannot be activated in response to this card's effect. • Shuffle your hand (minimum 1 card) into your deck, then draw 2 cards. Immediately Special Summon any WATER and Normal Monsters that you draw as a result of this card's effect. Got another support card here for fishy...watery...sea serpenty...type decks. Let me know how the effects balance out in your eyes.
Northern Sage
Name: It's alright, does the job okay. Image: Pretty clever. Good job. Balance/Use: Compound effects are generally difficult to work together. So, let's go over this one at a time. -The first effect is a much inferior Burial from a Different Dimension, which granted, is a Limited card. The LP gain effect does not interact particularly with WATER decks at all, and generally, the WATER decks that like to banish want to do so from the field. And if you want to return your Spell or Trap Cards, why? Avarice is banned, Mask of Darkness is Mask of Darkness and doesn't interact well and Penguin Knight is just such a needlessly conditional play that I don't want to think about it. -The second effect is an inferior Night Beam. No, really, it's Night Beam with an LP cost. However trivial LP costs may be, it is still an inferior Night Beam. -The third effect is a weird mix between Card of Sanctity and Magical Mallet, with a strange summoning effect added on. It might be more worth it than the other effects, at best a +0, but only works well in certain situations.
