Adak33
So since finding pictures is hard, my newest archetype is going here. Basically, what sets this archetype apart is its Ritual Spell cards. Each ritual spell can be used to summon a specific Ritual Monster... but! If you set the Ritual Spell instead of activating it, then during the next standby or battle phase, you can turn the ritual spell into a monster, at the cost of not being able to use it for a ritual summon anymore. Many of the ritual monsters have effects dealing with Ritual Spells, but the biggest support is this card: Cycle of Rebirth Field Spell Whenever a "Samsaran" Ritual Monster that you control is sent to the graveyard: If the ritual spell card that summons the destroyed monster is in your graveyard, you may special summon it to your side of the field as a monster. "Moksha" xyz Monsters you control gain 100 attack for every xyz material attached to them. Yeah. As for the monsters and spells themselves... Call of Samsara Ritual Spell This card is used to Ritual Summon "Samsaran Priestess". You must also Tribute monsters whose total Levels equal 6 or more from the field or your hand. During either player's standby or battle phase, you may activate this set card to special summon it as an effect monster (Fiend-Type/Earth/Level 6/ATK 1800/DEF 1600) (It is also still a spell card). If this card is used as a tribute for a ritual summon, you may banish it from your graveyard to add 1 "Samsara" Ritual Card from your deck to your hand. Samsaran Priestess Wind/Level 6 Fairy/Ritual/Effect Main Phase: You may set any number of spells or traps you control that are being treated as monsters. ATK 2800 DEF 2800 Samsara Armor Break Ritual Spell This card is used to Ritual Summon "Unleashed Samsaran". You must also Tribute monsters whose total Levels equal 6 or more from the field or your hand. During either player's standby or battle phase, you may activate this set card to special summon it as an effect monster (Fiend-Type/Earth/Level 6/ATK 1800/DEF 2000) (It is also still a spell card). If this card is sent to the graveyard as a tribute for a ritual summon, you may banish it to have the summoned Ritual Monster gain 1200 attack. Unleashed Samsaran Wind/Level 6 Fairy/Ritual/Effect This Monster's attack is equal to the number of Monsters tributed for its ritual summon X 1050. You may destroy a set ritual spell card you control to have this card deal piercing damage until your next End Phase. ATK ? DEF 900 Return from Samsara Ritual Spell This card is used to Ritual Summon "Descending Samsaran". You must also Tribute monsters whose total Levels equal 6 or more from the field or your hand. If this card is summoned as a monster by the effect of "Cycle of Rebirth," it becomes an effect monster (Spellcaster-Type/WIND/Level 6/ATK 2800/DEF 2600), and monsters that are also spells or traps may not be targeted by effects your opponent controls that can only target spells or traps. ...Yeah, these two here are kind of abnormal. For starters, this one can't summon itself as a monster, instead requiring cycle of rebirth's effect to do so. Also, their types and attributes are reversed: Descending Samsaran Earth/Level 6 Fiend/Ritual/Effect When this card would be destroyed, you may banish it instead; if you do, you may shuffle any number of banished spell cards into their owner's deck. ATK 2600 DEF 1800 Samsara Blood Fiend Ritual Spell This card is used to Ritual Summon "Samsaran Dervish". You must also Tribute monsters whose total Levels equal 8 or more from the field or your hand. During either player's standby or battle phase, you may activate this set card to special summon it as an effect monster (Fiend-Type/Earth/Level 6/ATK 2650/DEF 300) (It is also still a spell card). If this card is destroyed by battle, banish it. Samsaran Dervish Wind/Level 8 Fairy/Ritual/Effect If this card destroys a Monster by battle, you may destroy a face-up card you control to have it attack again. ATK 3050 DEF 0 Circle of Samsara Ritual Spell This card is used to Ritual Summon "Keeper of the Samsaran Gate". You must also Tribute monsters whose total Levels equal 8 or more from the field or your hand. During either player's Standby or Battle phase, you may pay 1000 life points activate this set card to special summon it as an effect monster (Fiend-Type/Earth/Level 6/ATK 0/DEF 2650) (It is also still a spell card). You may banish this card from your Monster Zone and tribute Monsters whose total levels equal 8 or more to special summon one "Samsaran" Ritual Monster from your deck or grave other than "Descending Samsaran" or "Keeper of the Samsaran Gate." With this one, note that tributing it allows you to use it as a ritual card for any "Samsaran" monster other than the one it summons as a spell... but you have to tribute monsters as if you were summoning a level 8 Monster, even if it is (most likely) level 6. Keeper of the Samsaran Gate Wind/Level 8 Fairy/Ritual/Effect This Monster has one of the following effects, depending on its battle position: *Attack: Whenever your opponent's card effect would banish a card from your graveyard or special summon a banished monster, negate the effect and increase your life points by 1000. *Defense: Your opponent may not select a ritual Monster you control as an attack target (Except "Keeper of the Samsaran Gate") ATK 1800 DEF 3100 Next are the "Moksha" xyz monsters mentioned in the field card... well, they would be, if I'd made more than one. As it is though, I could only come up with one of them: Moksha Worldseer Water/Level 8 Psychic/xyz/effect 1 level 6 Ritual Monster+1 Level 6 Monster that is also a Spell Whenever a Ritual Spell Card that you control is banished, attach it to this card as an xyz material. During either player's standby or battle phase, if this card has no attached materials, you may tribute this monster and select one "Samsaran" Ritual Monster you control; that Monster becomes a level 6 Tuner. This Monster's Original attack is 1200 X the number of your banished Ritual Spell Cards (Maximum 3600). Standby Phase: Detach an xyz material from this card and banish 1 face-up card you control. ATK ? DEF ? There were supposed to be three "Moksha" xyz monsters, all of which were supposed to have this part: 1 level 6 Ritual Monster+1 Level 6 Monster that is also a Spell Whenever a Ritual Spell Card that you control is banished, attach it to this card as an xyz material. During either player's standby or battle phase, if this card has no attached materials, you may tribute this monster and select one "Samsaran" Ritual Monster you control; that Monster becomes a level 6 Tuner. As part of their effect and material requirements. However, I kind of ran out of steam at this point. Fortunately, by the time that I did, I had already made the archetype's true ultimate monster: High Lord of Akasha Fire/Level 12 Spellcaster/Synchro/effect 1 Ritual Tuner Monster+1 Spell that is also a Monster If you control the listed Synchro Materials, you may perform a Synchro Summon of this Monster as a quick action. This Monster may only be summoned from the extra deck through a synchro summon using the listed materials, and may not be summoned from the extra deck in any other way. If this monster would be sent to the graveyard, banish it instead. During your opponent's standby phase, if this card is in the banished zone, special summon it. While this monster is banished, neither player may summon monsters from the extra deck. ATK 5000 DEF 5000 Since there's no such thingas a ritual tuner monster in the official card game (I checked) the only real way to get this guy out is to have a Moksha xyz Monster run out of materials while you control a Samsara ritual and spell monster. Another thing that I was considering, but didn't make, was a series of equip cards that could only be equipped to monsters that are also spell and traps. Ultimately though, I didn't make those either. Anyway, that's the Archetype. What do you guys think?
