Lore:

You can Tribute Summon this card by Tributing 1 Warrior-Type monster and if you do, discard 1 Warrior-Type monster. During your Draw Phase, instead of conducting your normal draw: You can add 1 Level 4 or lower Warrior-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. Up to twice per turn, you discard 1 card to target 1 Warrior-Type monster you control, except "Guan Yu, the Saint of War;" that monster gains 500 ATK until the End Phase. Once per turn, if a card effect targets this card: You can discard or Tribute 1 Warrior-Type monster to negate that effect and destroy it.[/spoiler]

I wanted to make Guan Yu into a card, so here's this. He is basically Freed the Matchless General just buffed up. I didn't know what tp write for his effect so I wrote some random effects that supports Warrior-Type monsters. If you guys can come up with a better idea for Guan Yu, tell me.

I think this card should be given an optional summoning condition, to make it stronger. Its current effect isn't broken by any means, but it wouldn't have a chance in today's meta if there wasn't an easier way to bring him out.

Say, perhaps adding "You can tribute summon this monster by tributing 1 face-up Warrior-Type monster you control" or something to the like.

Ehh, I'll do it.

Edit: I put a "you must discard 1 Warrior-Type" effect, so its a bit balanced.

I find the discard effect kind of counter productive, to be honest. The point is to not lose too much advantage to try to bring this guy out, as well as not making this card's summon horrendously slow.

It would be pretty balanced as is with its current effect and the 1 warrior tribute. I mean, requiring a specific type of tribute is already limiting enough for a summoning condition, isn't it?

All right.
