Broken Dreams

If your opponent activates a Trap card which would send a monster to the Graveyard: pay 1000 Life Points, then negate that Trap card and destroy it. If this card's effect is negated by your opponent's Counter Trap, inflict 1000 damage to your opponent when this card is sent to the Graveyard.

The Pier of Dreams

"You can activate this card when a card whose activation would require you to pay 2000 or less Life Points as cost is activated. Inflict Effect Damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the amout of Life Points you paid."

or

"Chain this card to a card's activation that requires you to pay 2000 or less Life Points as cost. Inflict Effect Damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the amout of Life Points you paid."

"When your opponent activates a Trap Card that would send a monster to the Graveyard: pay 1000 Life Points; Negate that Trap card and destroy it. If this card's effect is negated by your opponent's Counter Trap, inflict 1000 damage to your opponent's Life Points."

"During each of your Standby Phases, pay 500 Life Points or destroy this card. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when your opponent Special Summons a level 4 monster: You can pay 1000 Life Points; destroy that monster. "

"When a monster would be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck: Pay 1000 Life Points; negate its Summon, and if you do, return it to the Extra Deck, also banish 1 monster that was used as Material for its Summon."

OCG fix appreciated, although I don't think I'll be adding this :

"When your opponent activates a Trap Card that would send a monster to the Graveyard: pay 1000 Life Points; Negate that Trap card and destroy it. If this card's effect is negated by your opponent's Counter Trap, inflict 1000 damage to your opponent's Life Points."

The whole idea behind this card is to make it a finite end-of-chain card. Paying 1000 LP, it becomes essentially a Seven Tools that chains only to specific traps, and 1000 damage really isn't worth letting my monster be destroyed.

I will however get to fixing the text as soon as I can

Of this entire set I only have an issue with "The pier of dreams". The cost is a bit much in my opinion, since this card would be good for about 5 turns of negating 1 summon assuming you had no LP gain and didn't lose over 500 LP from additional effects or battle.

Also I think pond of dreams is really powerful, but not quite overpowered.
