Philemon
Jinzo is a good card with lackluster support, it's downgrade and upgrade are both terrible and most of the time a hindrance, so I decided to make him the subject of a small archtype remake. Just 3 cards nothing too fancy or outrageous.
During either player's turn, when a Normal Trap Card is activated, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to negate the effect. You can banish this card from your Graveyard; add 1 "Jinzo" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Jinzo Prototype #7".

This face-up card's name is treated as "Jinzo". If this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the graveyard, you can Special Summon one Jinzo from your Deck. You can banish this card from the Graveyard to negate an effect that targets a "Jinzo" monster on your side of the field.

2 Level 6 DARK Monsters Your opponent cannot active Trap Cards, negate the effects of all face-up Trap Cards on your opponents side of the field. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Pick up and see all face-down Spell and Trap cards on your opponents side of the field, destroy all Traps and inflict 500 points of damage for each Trap Card destoryed, then return them to their original positions.
Jinzo # 7 was an old direct attack monster that I remade into a prototype supporter, Erstaz is the new artwork of Jinzo and not the iconic (or "real") Jinzo, and Lord of Jinzo I found on a website. TrueMalice
Sweet. I'll review Jinzo Prototype for now. Jinzo Prototype #7 Good name, good (vanilla) art, and appropriate statistics all around. We'll start with an OCG fix: During either player's turn, when a Normal Trap Card is activated, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; negate that effect. If this card is destroyed by battle: Add 1 "Jinzo" monster from your Deck to your hand. This card's effects have anti-synergy, which leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The player is forced to make the choice between potentially negating a single Trap, and potentially retrieving a Trap negating monster. These decisions both have the same Trap negating outcome, and having to make that decision is inane. Here's my suggestion. During either player's turn, when a Normal Trap Card is activated, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; negate that effect. During your Main Phase: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; add 1 "Jinzo" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Jinzo Prototype #7". This way, you're able to achieve both effects at the same time. It's not overpowered by any means to give such strong strap negation when Imperial Decree exists. Good idea's, since Prototype is only bringing it out to the Hand, and not the field, it's two effects should have more Synergy between themselves. Any recommendations on Ersatz or Lord of Jinzo? TrueMalice
Sure. Ersatz Jinzo I love the name. OCG fix:
This face-up card's name is treated as "Jinzo". If this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard: you can Special Summon 1 "Jinzo" from your Deck. When an effect is activated that targets a "Jinzo" monster on your side of the field: You can banish this card from the Graveyard; negate that activation.
This isn't just an OCG fix. It's really important that if you're going to negate an effect, you need to specify the duration. I've changed it so negate an activation instead. Otherwise, this is good as it is. Lord of Jinzo The name is a little weird from an English-speaking perspective, but it fits with the Yugioh theme so whatever. OCG fix:
2 Level 6 DARK Monsters Trap Cards cannot be activated. Negate all Trap Card effects on the field. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; check all Spell and Trap cards your opponent controls and destroy all Traps Cards revealed and inflict 500 points of damage to your opponent for each Trap Card destroyed.
Other than that, great. I will mention that the materials are very generic, and I'm tired of DARK being handed so many powerful Xyz Monsters. Why not restrict it to 2 Level 6 DARK Machine-Type monsters and really buff that effect up?
