Candle Archetype

This is the rest of the archetype that was to support Candelabra Ghoul and another mysterious boss monster. I'll put Candelabra Ghoul on this thread too so that you don't have to look back and forth across tabs to try and figure out what these cards are doing. But enough of that!

Once per turn: you can make this card's level 6. When this card destroys a monster your opponent controls by battle; Special Summon 1 "Candle Token" (Pyro-Type/FIRE/Level 4/ATK 1000/DEF 1000).

BBdAljB.jpg

This card cannot be destroyed by battle as long as there is a "Candle Token" on the field. This card cannot be used for a Tribute Summon, unless it is for a "Candle" monster.

bxJPdzt.jpg

When this card is Summoned, Special Summon a number of "Candle Tokens" (Pyro-Type/FIRE/Level 4/ATK 1000/DEF 1000), up to the number of Monsters your opponent controls. "Candle Tokens" Special Summoned this way cannot attack. If you activate this effect this turn; you cannot Special Summon other Monsters, until the End Phase. The effect of "Candle Flame" can only be activated once per turn.

This is my favorite card art.

FV7tf4A.jpg

When a "Candle" monster on the field is destroyed by your opponent's card; Special Summon this card. Once per turn: when a "Candle Token" is Special Summoned to your side of the field; destroy 1 card on the field.

D6TVtMz.jpg

When a "Candle Token" is Special Summoned to your side of the field; you can Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card is Special Summoned by this effect, banish it when it leaves the field.

ylTIrnT.jpg

During your Standby Phase: you can Special Summon 1 "Candle Token" (Pyro-Type/FIRE/Level 4/ATK 1000/DEF 1000). When this card is destroyed: Special Summon 1 "Candle Token".

This one's art was the hardest to find. :/

tVAXv6N.jpg

If you don't control a "Candle Token": this card's effects are negated. "Candle Tokens" can attack, regardless of effects. Once per turn: you can Special Summon 1 "Candle" monster from your graveyard.

What even is that?

a7gFWi0.jpg

Once per turn: you can discard 1 card from your hand; Special Summon 1 "Candle Token" (Pyro-Type/FIRE/Level 4/ATK 1000/DEF 1000). After this effect is activated by this card 3 times; destroy this card.

I don't even know if this artwork is related.

7t2DP1O.jpg

Activate only when a non-token "Candle" monster(s) you control are destroyed by an opponent's card. Special Summon "Candle Tokens" (Pyro-Type/FIRE/Level 4/ATK 1000/DEF 1000) equal to the number of monsters your opponent destroyed. You can only activate 1 "Re-lit Candle" per turn.

Dat Goat...

VDWXejb.jpg

Tribute any number of "Candle Tokens" you control; destroy cards on either side of the field, up to the number of "Candle Tokens" Tributed for this effect.

Extra Deck (no Spoilers, except lore):

6Hqf4ob.jpg
2 level 6 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon 1 "Candle Token" (Pyro-Type/FIRE/Level 4/ATK 1000/DEF 1000). "Candle Tokens" cannot declare an attack. This card gains ATK equal to the combined ATK of all "Candle Tokens" on the field.
yEyq8aC.jpg
1 "Candle" tuner + 1 or more non-tuner FIRE monster(s)
When this card is Synchro Summoned: Special Summon 2 "Candle Tokens" (Pyro-Type/FIRE/Level 4/ATK 1000/DEF 1000). Once per turn: you can declare a level between 1 and 6; all "Candle Tokens" you control become the declared level, until the End Phase.

TUcarIJ.jpg

3 level 7 FIRE monsters
This card gains ATK equal to the total ATK of all "Candle Tokens" you control.
While this card has "Candelabra Ghoul" attached to it as Xyz Material, this card gains the following effect: Once per turn, during your Battle Phase: you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; double the ATK of all "Candle Tokens" you control, until the end of the Battle Phase, but "Candle Tokens" cannot attack. If you activate this effect, Battle Damage this card inflicts to your opponent is halved until the end of the Battle Phase.
Feel free to comment with your opinions on the cards (try to keep it constructive), and OCG fixes are fine. It'll be cool if you could think of any combos with these cards and real cards that would do awesome things.

Candle Draco: This is probably my favorite card of the whole set, artwork wise and effect wise.

Candle Ember: Card is fine, seems to be the weakest of the set in my opinion.

Candle Flame: Second favorite card of the set, very nice effect. Is this card's effect meant to be mandatory? I think it would be pretty awesome if it was a mandatory effect.

Candle Keeper: I think its a little weak in its attack, but given its easy summoning requirements and its effect, I think this card is balanced.

Candle Light: Is an ok card, maybe on the weak side due to banishment effect but I don't think that will matter too much.

To summarize the monsters, I think given that "Keeper" is the only monster you can tribute "Ember" for and that "Keeper" has a very easy special summoning effect to fulfill, I would rethink "Ember" unless you have more cards you plan to release to add some more use, but otherwise the monsters are pretty good.

Candle-lit path: There is an OCG problem here. Otherwise its a good card.

Candle Fuel: Pretty good card, balanced well enough, OCG error though.

Re-lit Candle: A very good deterrent for dark hole or torrential. (And no the artwork isn't even related unless you plan on releasing a 9-tailed fox candle monster or a person with flaming paper.)

Burning down the house: Another good card for the archetype. (And I see what you did there.)

To summarize the spells and traps. Not bad, combining "Candle Flame" and "Burning House" is a strong combo that I would enjoy.

Candelabra Ghoul: This card's effect was buffed since the last time I saw it. Has a lot more potential now.

Candelabra Lord: I'm not sure what the point of manipulating the tokens level is, perhaps you could explain. But otherwise its a pretty good card.

To summarize the archetype: "Token Stampede" would be a very strong card in this deck to give "Ghoul" 9500 attack and a bunch of tokens that can't be killed by battle. And I think you should make "Candle Token" a card and give it the effect that it cannot attack, because only 1 card in this deck prevents tokens from attacking and that's "Ghoul" unless, part of "Candle-lit Path" was designed to counteract this effect.

Well, to start with the ones that are easier to explain, the levels of Ember and Light are to make synchro summoning easier for the deck. Light being level 4, pair it with a candle token, and BOOM you have Lord. Lord then manipulates the levels of the tokens it special summoned, which you can make level 1. Pair those with Ember and you have Formula Synchron. There are a bunch of synchro shenanigans you can pull of with Lord's effect.

For the artwork of re-lit candle, I'll probably release some fox-related thing as soon as I can find some art for it.

Candle flame's effect is mandatory, and making it so that the candle tokens can't attack actually sounds like a good idea.

Thanks for your thoughts! :)
