Loyalist
Just a little set I made to pass the time. The effects are quite powerful but are slow to pull off unless you use the Xyz, at which point you can pretty much auto win if you have the right set up. Fun Facts: Ronin are samurai who have lost their master. Samayo means wander in japanese. I used this concept of the two main monsters - They wander in search of strong opponents/there master/whatever your imagination decides. This is signifed by them getting banished and then coming back with new found allies, knowledge and power. Lore: This card cannot declare an attack during the turn it is Summoned. During your Main Phase you can banish this face-up card. During your Second Standby Phase after this card was banished by the effect of a "Ronin" card Special Summon it. When this card is Special Summoned by this effect you can add 2 "Ronin" cards from your deck to your hand. Lore: This card cannot declare an attack the turn it is Summoned. During your Main Phase you can banish this card. During your second Standby Phase after this card was banished by the effect of a "Ronin" card Special Summon it. When this card is Special Summoned by this effect you can Special Summon up to 2 "Ronin" Monsters from your hand or graveyard and increase the ATK of this card by 400 for each. Lore: If at least 1 "Ronin" Monster is banished you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). During your Main Phase you can banish 1 "Ronin" Monster from you deck and if you do inflict 1000 damage to your opponent's life points. After this effect has resolved switch this Monster into face-down defence position. It cannot change it's battle position for the rest of the turn except by a card effect. When this card is destroyed and sent to the graveyard you can Special Summon all "Ronin" Monsters that where banished by this effect. Lore: Banish 1 "Ronin" Monster from your deck. During your next Standby Phase after that Monster was banished Special Summon that Monster to your side of the field. During your Main Phase you can banish this card from your graveyard: All "Ronin" Monsters you currently control become level 5 until the End Phase. Lore: 2 Level 5 "Ronin" Monsters. During each of your Standby Phase increase the ATK and DEF of all Monsters you currently control by 300. Once per turn, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card: Banish 1 "Ronin" Monster from your deck, then Special Summon it in face-up defence position. You cannot Summon any other Monsters the turn you activate this effect except Warrior-Type Monsters.

Slinky
Why does the Xyz Banish the monster, then immediately summon it? It doesn't work with the other effects, so mind shedding some light as to why its like this?

Oops my mistake, I meant to make the monsters gain effects after special summoned by a "ronin" card not by their own effects. Will fix.
ShinobiFingers
I feel like every thread I've visited lately has amazing art, so I'll have to rehash my recents comments by pointing out how awesome this artwork is. Interesting idea on the delayed / slow effects as the downside for the positive advantage they generate. I don't fully see the relation between their effects and samurai (hell, maybe I'm not supposed to?). Anyways, color me impressed. A piece of constructive criticism would be to impliment problem solving card text. (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Problem-Solving_Card_Text). Using punctuation (a colon for conditions, semi-colon for targetting / costs).
