Shini's - Basic Fan-fic Guidelines

Recommended Posts

Hey, I'm Shini. I've made a little Guideline that might help you make a better Fan-fic. You can use it, but you don't have to. I'm use this Guideline myself, and I think it really works. It helps your organize your ideas more, instead of just rushing and making anykind of Fan-fic (Like I used to do.)

Basic Information ( Stuff you need to start off the Fan-fic )

Fan-fic Name: ( Might want to decide after the rest of the Guideline)

Fan-fic Storyline: ( What this story basically is about )

Characters: ( My suggestion is to break down the characters like I've done below)

- Character-type: ( Main Character, Villain, Sub-Main Character, etc. )

- Biography: ( Basic Info, Background Story, etc. )

- Deck Type: ( Since the Fan-fics here are about Yugioh, what kind of deck do they run?)

- Deck Cardlist: ( Self-Explanatory )

Storyline Breakdown ( Use this to break down each chapter maybe, or maybe the whole story if you want )

Beginning Events: ( Introduction to the Story, Characters, etc.)

Middle Events: ( Details, More In-depth into the point of the story, etc. )

Ending Events: ( Climax, More Exciting Events that help end the story, etc. )

End of Story: ( Ending the story, maybe leave hints of a new chapter )

Extra Information ( Useful for people who are forgetful )

Background: ( Places where the story takes place )

Relationships: ( Love Interests, Friends, Family, etc. )

Yugioh Concepts: ( Does the story introduce a new Yugioh Concept? )

Yugioh Changes: ( Different Default Life Points, If you lose you die, those kinds of things )

Things Important to the Story: ( Is there certain items need to be obtained in the story? Items need to be destroyed? )

Information Used for Story: ( Does anything in your story use elements from the real world?)

Extra Info: ( Stuff you want to add, Things not to forget )

I think its rather obvious how to make a professional Fan-Fic, only those who like to write but dont really care about presentation do not follow guidelines like this thread.

There is already a guide up as well, which goes more into how to set out a Fan-Fic.

But good attempt, maybe some young kids will benefit ^_^

One thing i think you should mention, is to keep all chapters in 1 thread, and if you see this section people havent been doing that.
