First Avenger Posted March 1, 2014 Report Share Posted March 1, 2014 So I decided to actually post my Avengers cards (a reboot from the original set I made a few years back), this time hoping to make the cards dependent on each other for better effects. Some effects may seem OP as of now; I hope to print them out and actually do some field tests in order to balance them. Positive feedback and suggestions is appreciated, while mere criticism is not welcomed! :) Do feel free to at least enjoy the artwork cards! [spoiler Avengers Set] This set focuses on having multiple Avengers members on the field for powerful effects, with S.H.I.E.L.D. supports their combos. Equip cards are relied on in this deck too. [spoiler Characters] When this card is Summoned onto the field, you may choose 1 "Vibranium Shield" from your Deck or Graveyard and equip it to this card.When another face-up "Avenger" monster you control is targeted for an attack: You can make this card the attack target instead. When this card is Normal Summoned onto the field, you may choose 1 Equip card from your Deck or Graveyard and add it to your hand for every Attribute(s) of monster you control. When this card is Summoned onto the field, you may choose 1 "Mjolnir" from your Deck or Graveyard and equip it to this card. When this card destroys a monster by battle, inflict 300 damage for every face-up "Avenger" monster you control. You can Special Summon this card from your hand by banishing 1 "Bruce Banner" from the field. This card's maximum number of attacks this turn is equal to the number of face-up "Avenger" monsters you control at the beginning of your Battle Phase. If you control at least 2 other "Avenger" or "S.H.I.E.L.D." monsters, this card can attack your opponent directly. This card cannot attack more than once per turn. When this card is Summoned onto the field, you may choose 1 Equip Spell card from your Deck or Graveyard and equip it to this card. If this card is to be destroyed, you can destroy an Equip Spell card equipped to this card instead. When this card is Normal Summoned, you can add 1 "Avenger Initiative" from your Deck to your hand. This card can be treated as 2 Tributes for the Tribute Summon of an "Avenger" monster. When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 "Avenger" monster with 2000 or less DEF from your Deck. This card gains 300 ATK for every Avengers Counter on the field. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: Add 1 "Avenger" monster with 1500 or less DEF or a "Hulk" monster from your Deck to your hand. [/spoiler] [spoiler Equips] Equip only to a monster with "Hawkeye" in its name. The equipped monster gains 300 ATK. If the equipped monster attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent Equip only to a monster with "Hawkeye" in its name. Once per turn, when the equipped monster declares an attack: You can roll a six-sided die. If the result is 1, destroy 1 monster your opponent controls. If the result is 2 or 3, the equipped monster gains 400 ATK until the End Phase. If the result is 4 or 5, Inflict 500 damage to your opponent. If the result is 6, this card can attack again. Tribute this card to target up to 2 Spell/Trap Cards on the field; destroy them. If this card is equipped to a monster with "Iron Man" in its name, you can add 1 Avengers Counter to any card on the field for every Attribute(s) of monster you control when you activate this effect. Equip only to a monster with "Thor" in its name. The equipped monster is unaffected by the effects of Trap Cards. You can Tribute this card and remove 2 Avengers Counters you control; destroy 1 face-up monster your opponent controls that has the lowest ATK. (If it's a tie, you get to choose.) During the End Phase, if this effect was activated this turn (and was not negated): You can equip this card to the same monster on the field from your Graveyard. Equip only to a monster with "Captain America" in its name. Once per turn, the equipped monster cannot be destroyed by battle. You can Tribute this card; target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; it cannot attack or change its battle position this turn. During the End Phase, if this effect was activated this turn (and was not negated): You can equip this card to the same monster on the field from your Graveyard. Equip only to a monster with "Black Widow" in its name. If the equipped monster attacked this turn, you can Tribute this card to target 1 monster on the field; destroy that target. [/spoiler] [spoiler Spell Cards] Add 1 "Avenger" monster from your Graveyard or Deck to your hand. If you control an "Avenger" monster, you can remove 1 Avengers Counter you control to add 1 Equip Spell Card from your Graveyard or Deck to your hand. If you control an "Avenger" or "S.H.I.E.L.D." monster: Remove 2 Avengers Counters you control, then Special Summon 1 "Avenger" monster from your hand. Target 1 monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it. If it is an "Avenger" monster, you can remove 1 Avengers Counter to target 1 Spell Card other than "Earth's Mighiest Heroes" in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand. Discard 1 card, then target 1 monster on the field; destroy it. If you control a "Hulk" monster, you can destroy all monsters your opponent controls instead. Cards cannot be banished. Each time an Equip Spell Card is activated, place 1 Avengers Counter on this card. Once per turn, you can remove 2 Avengers Counters to add 1 Equip Spell Card from your Graveyard to your hand. If this card would be destroyed, you can remove 1 Avengers Counter from this card instead. [/spoiler] [spoiler Trap Cards] When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Target the attacking monster; negate the attack, and if you control an "Iron Man" monster, you can choose 1 monster you control; that monster gains ATK equal to the ATK of the opponent's monster it is battling, until the End Phase. When an opponent's monster declares an attack on an "Avenger" monster : Destroy all Attack Position monsters your opponent controls, and place 1 Avengers Counter on a "S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier" card you control for every monster destroyed by this card's effect. When an opponent's monster declares an attack on an "Avenger" monster: Target the attacking monster; destroy that target. If you control at least 3 "Avenger" or "S.H.I.E.L.D." monsters: Remove 2 Avengers Counters you control to inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster's Level x 200. [/spoiler] [/spoiler] [spoiler Iron Man 1,2,3] For the Iron Man set I try to focus on Equip cards and draw power. Iron Man 1,2: [spoiler Characters] Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can banish 1 Equip Spell card from your Graveyard; banish this face-up card until the End Phase. When an Equip Spell card is equipped to this card, you may draw 1 card from your Deck. If this card is attacked by an opponent's monster, it gains 400 ATK during the Damage Step only. You can Tribute Summon this card by Tributing 1 "Iron Man" monster. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: Draw 1 card. When a "Tony Stark" or "Iron Man" monster you control is targeted for an attack, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard: Target it; it cannot be destroyed by battle for the rest of this turn. Once per turn, when a face-up "Iron Man" monster you control is targeted for an attack: You can make this card the attack target instead. This card cannot be destroyed by battle with a monster that has 1500 or more ATK. If you control a face-up "Iron Man - Mark II": You can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. All "Iron Man" monsters you control gain 400 ATK. If you control an "Iron Man" monster, your opponent cannot target this card for an attack. Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 face-up "Iron Man" monster you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. While equipped by this effect, the equipped monster gains 500 ATK and DEF. If the equipped monster destroys an opponent's monster by battle: Draw 1 card. (A monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed, destroy this card instead.) 1 "James Rhodes" + 1 "Iron Man - Mark II" When this card is Synchro Summoned, you can add 1 Equip Spell card from your Graveyard to your hand. This card's name becomes "War Machine (Iron Man)" while it is face-up on the field. This card gains 500 ATK for every Equip Spell card equipped to it. If this card would be destroyed while equipped with an Equip Spell Card, you can send that card to the Graveyard instead. [/spoiler] [spoiler Equips] Equip only to "Iron Man - Mark I". The equipped monster gains 300 ATK. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: target and destroy up to 2 Spell/Trap cards on the field. Equip only to a monster with "Iron Man" in its name. Once per turn, you can change 1 face-up monster you control to Defense Position. If the equipped monster attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. Equip only to a monster with "Iron Man" in its name. The equipped monster gains 1000 ATK when attacking a monster of a higher Level. If the equipped monster destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, draw 1 card. Equip only to a monster with "Iron Man" in its name. The equipped monster gains 500 ATK. If you control 2 monsters equipped with "Repulsor" on the field: you can banish both "Repulsor" cards to destroy 1 face-up monster with an ATK less than or equal to the total ATK of the 2 equipped monsters. [/spoiler] [spoiler Spells] During your Draw Phase, when you draw an "Iron Man" Monster(s): You can reveal it; draw 1 more card. Discard 1 card, then target 1 "Iron Man - Mark V" in your Graveyard; Special Summon it. Reduce the Level of all "Iron Man" monsters on both players' hands by 1. Each time you activate an Equip Spell Card, place 1 JARVIS Counter on this card. During either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated that would destroy an "Iron Man" monster(s) on the field: You can remove 3 JARVIS counters from this card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. If you control a "War Machine" and an "Iron Man" monster other than "War Machine": Destroy all monsters your opponent controls. Add 1 "Tony Stark" from your Deck to your hand. If you control an "Iron Man" monster, you may equip it to the monster instead. [/spoiler] [spoiler Traps] Target 1 face-up "Iron Man" monster you control; banish that target until the End Phase. [/spoiler] Continuing on with focusing on drawing cards and equip spell cards, I try to inculcate more armors and equip cards, in hope of giving a swarming effect for this set. Iron Man 3: [spoiler Characters] While you control "Tony Stark" on the field unequipped: you can Special Summon this card from your hand, and equip it to this card. This card gains 100 ATK for every card in your hand. This card's name become "The Mechanic (Iron Man)" while it is face-up on the field. Once per turn, during your Standby Phase: You can add 1 "Repulsor" from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. [/spoiler] [spoiler Spells] This card can only be activated if your opponent controls 3 or more monsters and you control no monsters. Discard up to 5 cards from your hand to the Graveyard: Special Summon as many "Iron Man" monsters as possible from your Graveyard, up to the number of cards that you discarded to the Graveyard. If you control a "Tony Stark": Special Summon as many Level 4 or lower "Iron Man" monsters as possible from your Deck. Send them to the Graveyard at the end of this turn. [/spoiler] [spoiler Traps] When a Spell or Trap Card is activated: Discard 1 "Iron Man" monster; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. Send any number of "Iron Man" monsters you control; inflict 1000 damage to your opponent for each monster you send. [/spoiler] [/spoiler] [spoiler Guardians of the Galaxy] Guardians of the Galaxy involves a bunch of "losers" coming together to do something good and something bad. Groot the gentle protector, Rocket the gunner of mass destruction, Gamora the solo assassin, Drax the offensive destroyer, and Star-Lord the leader of the pack. This set tries to promote the power these individuals can wield when working together, each with their own strengths to throw into the mix. [spoiler Characters] When this card is Normal Summoned, you can add 1 "Awesome Mix Vol. 1" from your Deck to your hand. All "Guardians of the Galaxy" monsters you control gains 200 ATK. If you control "Rocket, Guardian of the Galaxy": you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) in face-up Defense Position. When a face-up "Rocket, Guardian of the Galaxy" you control is targeted for an attack or card effect: You can make this card the target instead. When this card is Summoned, you can add 1 "Groot, Guardian of the Galaxy" from your Deck to your hand. This card gains 500 ATK if it has an Equip Spell Card equipped to it. When this card battles an opponent's monster, you can switch the original ATK and DEF of both this card and that monster. This card gains 200 ATK and DEF if it's the only monster you control. While you control at least 1 other "Guardian of the Galaxy" monster: if this card attacks an opponent's monster, it gains 500 ATK during the Damage Step only. All other "Guardian of the Galaxy" monsters gain 200 ATK and DEF. Once per turn, you can discard a card to add 1 "Element Guns" from your Deck to your hand. [/spoiler] [spoiler Spells] This card gains the following effects if you control the following "Guardian of the Galaxy" monsters. "Groot": Your opponent cannot target any "Guardian of the Galaxy" monster other than "Groot, Guardian of the Galaxy" for attacks. "Rocket": Once per turn, you can Tribute 1 Equip Spell Card on the field to destroy 1 monster on the field. "Gamora": Once per turn, you can switch the ATK and DEF of 1 monster on the field, until the End Phase. "Drax": Once per turn, you can destroy 1 set Spell/Trap Card on the field. "Star-Lord": During your Draw Phase, when you draw a "Guardian of the Galaxy" Monster(s): You can reveal it; draw 1 more card. Name 1 Attribute. Each face-up monster your opponent controls of that Attribute loses 100 ATK and DEF x its own Level this turn. If you control a "Star-Lord, Guardian of the Galaxy": the monsters lose 200 ATK and DEF x its own Level this turn instead.
