ihop
So I got rid of my real deck at locals today and managed to pick up this really cheap, this format is more or less over for me as I don't want to take a gamble on what deck's going to get hit and this is probably better than a deck I know will not get hit even if it lacks Wolfbarks (which I absolutely cannot be arsed to shell £20-30 each for). I have literally 0 idea what I'm doing here having never ever played the deck so this is probably really bad. 16 3 Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Dragon 3 Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Bear 3 Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Leopard 2 Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Rooster 2 Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Gorilla 1 Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Spirit 2 Maxx "C" 13 3 Fire Formation - Tenki 3 Mystical Space Typhoon 2 Pot of Duality 2 Fire Formation - Tensu 2 Fire Formation - Gyokkou 1 Book of Moon 11 2 Fire Formation - Tensen 1 Fire Formation - Tenken 2 Breakthrough Skill 2 Mirror Force 1 Torrential Tribute 1 Compulsory Evacuation Device 1 Bottomless Trap Hole 1 Solemn Warning 3 Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Horse Prince 2 Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Lion Emperor 1 Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Tiger King 1 Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Cardinal 1 That blue Sirius wolf level 6 that doesn't really do much 1 Number 101: Silent Honor ARK 1 Abyss Dweller 1 Wind-Up Zenmaines 1 Gem-Knight Pearl 1 Ghostrick Alucard 1 Gagaga Cowboy 1 Number 50: Blackship of Corn Don't suggest Wolfbark, don't suggest Exciton (if and when I get one I'll play it), don't suggest a second Dweller because I don't want to invest in another Dweller when it's quite possible that it becomes really bad next format due to a possible Mermail hit. Ultravires
Lack of Wolfbark really kills the deck's consistency, honestly. As for potential fixes to at least make it competitive, you need Lances, Fiendishes, Vulcan and another Tiger King. Also Veiler is typically a better main deck than Maxx as it's actually responsive rather than passive. Kagutsuchi is basically staple as well. Compulse isn't anywhere near as good as it used to be right now. Sirius doesn't do too much for you. Maybe -2 Maxx, +2 Veiler, -1 Dragon, -1 Compulse, -1 Gyokkou, -1 Breakthrough, +2 Lance, +2 Fiendish. -1 Horse Prince, -1 Pearl, -1 Sirius, +1 Tiger King, +1 Kagutsuchi, +1 Vulcan. The reason why I'm running Sirius over Vulcan is that I'm in Europe and it doesn't exist yet. I'll agree with the rest of the suggestions though.
