Cobalt2
I had made this set after learning about these concepts in a class. I was not aware that there has been a post on this same subject before (albeit a long time ago). 2 Level 4 monsters (1) If this card were to be destroyed by battle, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead. If this card attacks an opponent's monster, it gains attack equal to the difference between this card's ATK and the ATK of the opponent's monster it is battling, until the End Phase. (2) At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card attacked: Discard 1 card; gain 800 Life Points. 2 Level 4 monsters (1) During your Main Phase 1: Detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; draw 1 card, then it becomes the End Phase of this turn. If "The Ego" is face-up on the field, You can Xyz Summon this card by using "The Id" you control as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) (1) If this face-up card on the field would be destroyed, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead. (2) If you use the (1) effect of "The Ego", you can detach "The Id" from this card; Banish 1 card on the field. (1) Banish 1 "The Id" from your Extra Deck. During your next Standby Phase, Special Summon up to 2 Level 4 monsters from your hand. (1) When "The Ego", "The Id", or "The SuperEgo" is sent to the Graveyard or is banished; Special Summon 1 Rank 4 Xyz Monster from your Graveyard in Attack Position. Its ATK becomes 0 and its effects are negated. (1) Target 1 "The Id" in your Graveyard or Banished Zone; Special Summon it and attach this card to it as an Xyz Material. (2) If you control "The Ego" when this card is sent to the Graveyard, draw 1 card.
The Id is the part of the subconscious that makes decision based on pleasure, and therefore has an effect that is supposed to be more fun than useful. Also, Freud theorized that many of these pleasures involved killing, and therefore an effect dealing with battle seems appropriate. The Ego is the part of the subconscious that is rational. An effect that is actually effective by the metagame's standards would be closer to the desired effect. Generic draw power? Whats the worst that could happen? XD The Superego's purpose is to restrict the Id by siding with the ego, and therefore is overlayed on top of the Id.
Criticism and grammar fixes always appreciated!
