Luna874
The Solrith cards are not neccesarily an archetype, as that implies all the cards in the deck work together. They are just a series of cards (e.g. Dragon Rulers) which can be put into a deck to enhance it. All four Solrith Emperors are Level 7, LIGHT Machine-type monsters which have 2500 ATK and DEF, and have the effect of "Cannot be Special Summoned. Neither player can Special Summon from their Extra Deck" followed by their own individual effect. As such, these set of cards are Anti-Meta in the sense they are anti-extra deck and anti-special summoning. These monsters, aside from not being able to be Special Summoned, are very much generic cards. The idea of these cards is mainly about picking one of the Solrith Emperors and putting that into a deck, rather than building a deck around it. Though decks like Monarchs, could potentially tech multiple Solrith Emperors. Solrith Emperor Tempest LIGHT/Machine/Effect/7/2500/2500 Cannot be Special Summoned. Neither player can Special Summon from their Extra Deck. During the Damage Step, if this attacking card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: It can make a second attack in a row. Basically has the BLS effect of "destroy your opponent's monster? attack again!" which made BLS so good. Although, being harder to summon means it will be less effective. Solrith Emperor Radius LIGHT/Machine/Effect/7/2500/2500 Cannot be Special Summoned. Neither player can Special Summon from their Extra Deck. Once per turn, during either player's turn, you can negate the activation of a Spell or Trap Card and destroy it, and if you do, you can draw 1 card. It is basically Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En except it lets you draw a card each time you negate a Spell/Trap Card. However unlike Shi-En, you cannot special summon it so it is not as easy to summon. Solrith Emperor Infernal LIGHT/Machine/Effect/7/2500/2500 Cannot be Special Summoned. Neither player can Special Summon from their Extra Deck. Once per turn, during either player's turn, you can negate the activation of an Effect Monster's effect (from anywhere), and if you do, this card gains 800 ATK until the End Phase. Two things to keep in mind: Infernal does NOT destroy the Effect Monster that it negates. It only negates their effects and then gains a temporary ATK boost for that turn. The second thing is that it can negate Monster Effects from anywhere so should you not have Solrith Sanctuary on the field, you can still prevent effects from happening from the hand or graveyard. Solrith Emperor Gaea LIGHT/Machine/Effect/7/2500/2500 Cannot be Special Summoned. Neither player can Special Summon from their Extra Deck. Once per turn, you can Summon 1 monster from either player's Graveyard. The monster Summoned by this effect is unaffected by Solrith Sanctuary. Monster Reborn on a 2500/2500 body. Since monsters summoned by Gaea are unaffected by Solrith Sanctuary, they do not recieve an ATK/DEF reduction like other Special Summoned monsters. Solrith Sanctuary Field Spell Card Reduce the ATK and DEF of all Special Summoned monsters on the field by 500. Monsters cannot activate or resolve their effects anywhere other than on the field. Negate any card effect that would move a card in the Deck to a different place. Solrith Sanctuary is designed similarly to Necrovalley, with both having an ATK/DEF altering effect and a lockdown effect. This card prevents Effect Monsters from activating their effects if they activate off the field (such as handtraps, Dark World monsters, monsters which activate from the graveyard, etc). It also punishes players which special summon monsters from their deck, send monsters from their deck to the graveyard, or add monsters from their deck to their hand by effects. With the ATK reduction effect, any of the Solrith Emperor's can destroy almost any maindeck monster by battle (exceptions being Malefic Cyber End Dragon, among others).
