Lunar Origins
Alien Tentacle LIGHT / Level 4 [ Reptile / Effect ] If this card is Summoned: You can Normal Summon 1 additional "Alien" monster in addition to your Normal Summon or Set. If you Summon an "Alien" monster: Place 1 A-counter on each face-up monster your opponent controls. If this face-up monster you control destroys a monster by battle: You can add 1 "Alien Tentacle" from your Deck to your hand. You can only control 1 "Alien Tentacle". (If a monster with an A-counter battles an "Alien" monster: It loses 300 ATK and DEF for each A-counter, during Damage Calculation only.) [ ATK: 1600 / DEF: 1200 ] ====================================================================================== Alien Tentacle descends from the sky above, poised to take over your planet and wreak havoc! Hailing from the primordial maw of Uranus, Alien Tentacle is quite the force to be reckoned with, using his tentacle-y powers to give the boost to the Alien archetype that it needed. True to its name, Alien Tentacle slithers and infects your opponent's cards, distributing A-counters to every monster on the field on the Normal Summon of any of your Alien monsters. This combos well with its effect to let you Normal Summon any "Alien" monster if it is successfully summoned by any effect - this includes being summoned by cards such as Call of the Haunted and Code A Ancient Ruins. Thanks to its A-counter distribution effect, Alien Tentacle gives new life to cards such as Mass Hypnosis and Brainwashing Beam, allowing your slick invaders to take control of your opponent's monsters during your opponent's turn, heavily disrupting their plays... and even opening up plays to you. On battle destruction, which should be easy due to its effect distributing A-counters, Alien Tentacle will add another copy of itself to your hand. This changes the strategy of a deck based around Aliens, offering them options that the archetype didn't have before. Alien Tentacle combos incredibly well with cards such as King of the Feral Imps and Kagetokage. Special Summon Kagetokage on the Normal Summon of Alien Tentacle, destroy something by battle with Alien Tentacle, add another to your hand, Xyz Summon King of the Feral Imps, add another Alien card from your Deck to your hand by detaching Alien Tentacle, such as Alien Ammonyte. Normal Summon Alien Ammonyte, Special Summon Alien Tentacle from your Graveyard, and Synchro Summon Cosmic Fortress Golgar from your Deck - a powerful Synchro monster, allowing you to use your A-counters on your opponent's side of the field for destruction, and bounce back popular cards such as Supply Unit to your opponent's hand, allowing for safe destruction without giving them opportunity to regain advantage from the destruction. G.B. Sparticus
I ran aliens before, and this seems like an amazing card.
Lunar Origins
I ran aliens before, and this seems like an amazing card. It is an amazing card, thank you. Is there anything wrong with it?
TCG warrior
the fact that it places a counter on each face-up opponent's monster seems a bit OP to me... in my opinion it would be better if you'd just have it place one counter on a face-up card on the field (also takes away the disadvantage of needing to have face-up opponent's monsters). Other than that it seems like a great card
Pchi
The best part is that, thanks to Konami's new policy of always releasing support for old archetypes in each new installment of their main pack series since PRIO, we can truly hope that something like that may see the light of the day eventually.
