This card cannot be destroyed by card effects. While you control 3 or more DARK and/or FIRE monsters, this card is treated as an Effect Monster (Beast-Warrior-Type/DARK/Level 10/ATK 2800/DEF 2000). This card cannot be destroyed by battle. At the beginning of your opponent's Standby Phase: Inflict 1000 damage to your opponent, unless your opponent tributes a monster to negate this effect.

Since I assume they all say "Indestructible" I would say to add something like "This card is treated as a monster (info) and cannot be destroyed by battle." Other than that this looks like a cool card by YGO standards, but maybe something like having to tribute a FIRE to summon it (to translate the MtG cost)?

Alright, I'll try the first part. Not sure on how tributing a FIRE monster would affect playability, or how to word that.

My original idea was to have it banish 2 Fire and/or Dark monsters to summon it. Devotion would be something like "While you have 7 or less banished FIRE and/or DARK mosnters, this card is treated as a Continuous Spell card."

I'm thinking banishing as summon requirement. I'll post up something in a sec, I just made one of these for Nylea actually.

So should I just redo the card with the banishing as the summon requirement?

Edit: It cannot be destroyed by battle while it's treated as a monster.

OCG fix:

This card cannot be destroyed by card effects. While you control 3 or more DARK or FIRE monsters, this card is treated as a you can Special Summon this card as a Monster Card (Beast-Warrior-Type/DARK/Level 8/ATK 2800/DEF 2000) and  when you do, this card cannot be destroyed by battle.  At the beginning of your opponent's Standby Phase: Inflict 800 damage to your opponent, unless your opponent tributes a monster.  Your opponent can tribute 1 monster they control to negate this effect.

I'm not the best at OCG, but I'm pretty sure that's how it would be worded.

I don't think you did that bad.  Its maybe a tiny bit too strong because of the complete destruction protection, but not by much.  The burn is insignificant enough that tributing a monster would be a last ditch effort, so i see nothing wrong there.  If nothing else, this card can be used as Rank 8 support.  I could see gimmick puppet users eating this up if they want to bring out a couple Rank 8s in one turn, which is entirely possible based on the deck and situation.

The problem is that it's only supposed to be a mosnter while you control 3 or more Dark and/or Fire monsters. If lose a monster, and no longer have 3 or more Dark and/or Fire monsters, it would no longer be a monster.

The OCG is off because I was really tired, I'll fix it in a bit.

Updated the effect a bit.

If you want it to do that, then add this to the end of my OCG fix:

"If you control less than 3 DARK or FIRE monsters, place this card face-up in the Spell and Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card."

Not intending to hijack this by any means, but this is what I came up with going off the same idea. I'll probably do something similar for all of the other Major/Minor Gods at some point. 7 I translated to 3k, 5 to 2.5k and the casting cost to banishing from Grave. Translated Devotion as monsters in Grave. Having monsters on the field isn't as realistic as it is in Magic, and colored backrow doesn't exist in this game, so I had Devotion equate to monsters of those Attributes in grave. Since Devotion 7 is actually Devotion 5 since it counts itself, I had Devotion require 6 or more. Due to wording conventions it says "5 or less" to denote "6 or more."

I feel like a Spell Monster is kind of awkward. One slight problem with mine that yours does not have is that cards that banish, spin or bounce monsters will still be able to hit it when it doesn't satisfy the "Devotion" condition. I think the Tribute effect would be too busted since it doesn't target but I kept it anyway. Indestructible is pretty busted too but there's really no other way to fix it, maybe force it to banish a monster that contributes to your Devotion as cost? Not sure where to go from here.

That's what I was thinking of doing, except devotion would the number of banished monsters. We could always lose the "As long as your devotion to black and red is less than seven, Mogis isn't a creature." and instead focus devotion on indestructible. So, like, "While you have 6 or more DARK and/or FIRE monsters in your Graveyard, this card cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects."

Anyway, I think there should be somewhere we could discuss stuff like this, otherwise, we'll end up turning this into "Convert MTG to Yugioh".

That's what I was thinking of doing as well. Conditioning its survival on Devotion forces you to make a decision as to whether or not its effect is worth putting on the field early. Also adding a banish cost for the effect could make it more balanced. I still like conditioning devotion on cards in grave since it's harder to banish non-DARK/LIGHT monsters in the first place. Prepping the grave is easier for the DARK/LIGHT dual attributes though.

For the Major Gods, I'm thinking requiring 4 (so killable/not a monster if 3 or less) in grave to gain Indestructible and become monsters, 2 banish to summon, banish 1 to activate trigger effects. The continuous aura-like effects will be free.

For Minor Gods, 4 or 5 (probably 4 actually, 5 is a lot even now for most colors, thus killable/not a monster if 3 or less) in grave to gain Indestructible and become monsters, banish 1 of each color to summon, banish 1 to activate trigger effects.

Sound decent?

That actually sounds great. That would allow decks to be build around the gods. Ever since this happened, I've been thinking of doing the same for Planeswalkers, and other Magic cards.

Still having some trouble with the effect of Minor Gods. It's way too long in comparison to even the longest card text under PSCT. This is the shortest I could get it under existing PSCT. Any ideas what to cut? Only the Spell categorization and cannot attack/be attacked clause seem truly extraneous. I'm mostly using this as a test card and want to get it absolutely perfect before continuing on to make the rest of the Gods.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 1 DARK and 1 FIRE monster from your Graveyard. This card is also a Spell Card. While face-up on the field, this card is also FIRE-Attribute. While you have 4 or more DARK and/or FIRE monsters in your Graveyard, this card cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects. Unless you have 4 or more DARK and/or FIRE monsters in your Graveyard, this card cannot attack or be targeted for attacks, but does not prevent your opponent from attacking you directly. Once per turn, during your opponent's Standby Phase: Banish 1 DARK or FIRE monster from your Graveyard; inflict 1000 damage to your opponent, unless your opponent Tributes 1 monster.

That's pretty much what you would have to cut out. You could also remove the second "by" in "While you have 4 or more DARK and/or FIRE monsters in your Graveyard, this card cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects."

So pretty much

"Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 1 DARK and 1 FIRE monster from your Graveyard. While face-up on the field, this card is also FIRE-Attribute. While you have 4 or more DARK and/or FIRE monsters in your Graveyard, this card cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. If you really want to shorten the effect, you could just remove "While face-up on the field, this card is also FIRE-Attribute".
