I didn't play Yugioh for a while, but I heard Life Points and ATK are important now.
2 Level 4 monsters

When your opponent activates a card or card effect: You can Special Summon all monsters attached to this card as Xyz Materials, and if you do, return this card to the Extra Deck. You can only activate the effect of "The Swift Illusionist" once per turn.
So the usefulness of this card is.....protection?  But in order to protect them you have to use them as materials, and therefore they are like they aren't even there in the first place, so what's the point.  I see what you are going for; if you are setting something up or just need a 2600 beater, you can use this, then if they activate something or you have what you need you can undo the xyz, but there really isn't any point when you get down to it.  Also, as worded now, the effect activates when the card is activated, which means this card's effect would chain to it.  That means that this card's effect would go first, and so if your opponent activates something like dark hole, the only thing you save is this Xyz, while the materials die.

So would summoning the monsters after the chain resolves fix this problem? Dark Hole and Torrential are the only (commonly used) cards that can destroy the materials.

My idea was to have a beater that makes your opponent waste cards indirectly. Unless they summon something with more than 2600, they have to waste a card effect on this. What do you think?
