It never got the thread it deserved, so here's my minimal, low-level archetype. NOTE: I've messed with a few things, just to make them more well , but I'd love to hear your suggestions on how to improve them. I probably have card grammar errors abound, so please correct me on them. The strategy of this deck is a combination of Dustons and Crystal Beasts. You want to clog up your opponent's Spell and Trap card zones, but you also need to destroy the cards clogging up your opponent's field to use your monsters' effects. Not to mention the fact that the archetype itself is fairly low powered in ATK, so clogging and Special Summoning is the best they can do. So what are your thoughts? [spoiler='The Monsters'] [spoiler='Lingering Soul of the Courtyard'] If this card was destroyed by battle, you can Summon it during your Main Phase 1. Once per turn, you can select 1 "Lingering Soul" monster in your Graveyard, place it on your opponent's field, and treat it like a Continuous Spell Card with the name of "Soul's Lament."[/spoiler] [spoiler='Lingering Soul of the Forest'] If this card was sent to the Graveyard by a card effect, you can Special Summon it during your Main Phase 1. Once per turn, you can select 1 "Lingering Soul" monster in your Deck, place it on your opponent's field, and treat it like a Continuous Spell Card with the name of "Soul's Lament."[/spoiler] [spoiler='Lingering Soul of the Lake'] If a "Lingering Soul" monster was Special Summoned this turn, you can Special Summon this card from your Hand during your Main Phase 1. Once per turn, you can destroy 1 "Soul's Lament" your opponent controls to add 1 "Lingering Soul" monster from your Graveyard to your Hand.[/spoiler] [spoiler='Lingering Soul of the Plains'] If a "Lingering Soul" monster was Special Summoned this turn, you can Special Summon this card from your Hand during your Main Phase 1. Once per turn, you can destroy 1 "Soul's Lament" your opponent controls to return 1 "Lingering Soul" monster from your field to your Hand.[/spoiler] [spoiler='Lingering Soul of the Sands'] You can destroy one "Soul's Lament" your opponent controls to destroy 1 monster on the field. If this card is added to your Hand by a card effect, you can Special Summon it. [/spoiler] [spoiler='Lingering Soul of the Sky'] When this card is Normal Summoned, you can draw cards equal to the amount of face-up "Lingering Soul" monsters you control excluding "Lingering Soul of the Sky". If this card is sent to the Graveyard by the effect of a "Lingering Soul" monster, you can Special Summon it.[/spoiler] [spoiler='Lingering Soul of the Tall Mountains'] If a "Lingering Soul" monster was Special Summoned this turn, you can Special Summon this card from your Hand. Once per turn, you can destroy 1 "Soul's Lament" your opponent controls to add 1 "Lingering Soul" monster from your Deck to your Hand.[/spoiler] [spoiler='Lingering Soul of the Throne'] If this card was Banished, you can Special Summon it during your Main Phase 1. Once per turn, you can select 1 "Lingering Soul" monster in your Hand, place it on your opponent's field, and treat it like a Continuous Spell Card with the name of "Soul's Lament."[/spoiler] [spoiler='Gatherer of the Lingering Souls'] 1 "Lingering Soul" Tuner monster + 1 or more non-tuner monsters Once per turn, you can discard one card from your hand to select 1 "Lingering Soul" monster in your Graveyard, place it on your opponent's field, and treat it like a Continuous Spell Card with the name of "Soul's Lament." You can destroy 1 "Soul's Lament" your opponent controls, then Special Summon 1 "Lingering Soul" monster from your Graveyard.[/spoiler] [spoiler='Waker of the Lingering Souls'] 1 "Lingering Soul" Tuner monster + 1 or more non-tuner monsters The ATK of all face-up "Lingering Soul" monsters on the field are doubled while this card is face-up on the field. Once per turn, you can destroy 1 "Soul's Lament" your opponent controls, then randomly select a card in your opponent's Hand.
