Infernity Wand

Equip only to a Fiend-Type monster. The equipped monster gains 700 ATK. Once per turn, you can discard 1 card to target 1 face-up card on the field: return that card to the hand. The equipped monster cannot attack your opponent directly during the turn you activate this effect.This card must be face-up on the field to resolve this effect.

ATK gain is minor. Most Fiends do not hover around the "maybe I can kill some things" range. They're either huge sweepers like Grapha, Gorz and Girastag, or small supporters like Tour Guide. The kind that benefit from 500 ATK (Steelswarm Caller, Trance Archfiend) don't benefit from the Level gain enough to justify running this, and have their own engines for winning battles anyway.

 

The Level gain effect is really conditional and expensive. How would you use it?

I don't see this actually being a major support for Infernity as this doesn't really make them be able to make their Hand 0 or have a useful effect when their Hand is 0... Maybe you should put something in there that would support either Discarding cards from your hand or some effect that activates when a player's Hand is 0 just to make it feel like an actual Infernity card.

I don't see this actually being a major support for Infernity as this doesn't really make them be able to make their Hand 0 or have a useful effect when their Hand is 0... Maybe you should put something in there that would support either Discarding cards from your hand or some effect that activates when a player's Hand is 0 just to make it feel like an actual Infernity card.

Effect changed, Discarding cards from your hand supported.

You didn't make it support Infernity. You just made it harder to use. It should have a stronger effect to compensate. In the case of this card, the effect should be much, much stronger so Infernity has a reason for this Equip Card. Or else you can just make it support Fiends in general; don't feel compelled to support Infernity just because it's in the card name.

I was thinking a pre-battle effect, but that works too I guess. I'd probably put it as a Once per turn eff that has more limitations (like it can only hit Face-up's) but take out the when inflicting damage part.

I also disagree with newhat in that if your saying that a card is apart of an archetype, it should actually support the archetype. It aggrivates me when the cards that come out don't support any archetype that is mentioned in the name.

Updated-effect changed. I added Once per turn effect and take out inflict damage part.

I would put that the Spell has to be Face-up to resolve the effect, so that It's not dumb like M7 or Pleiades. (It would be worded like this: This card must be Face-up on the Field to resolve this effect)

Only Mecha Power Tool but this can't equip to it and that's a once per turn eff. I would add that if you do that, the equipped Monster can't attack this turn.

Also the OCG would be like this:
