Oogaboogaloo! Fun Effect Veiler-esque card

Okay, short story short: this card might just be utterly ludicrous. I was thinking that it could be another one of the Ice Barrier legends that make it to other Decks - remember Brionac? Although, relative to Brionac, this card isn't nearly as powerful. But, in the current meta, I really do see this card becoming a staple if it ever existed. And that's never good news - staples are usually just uninventive and take away from Deck creativity. I mean, how many Number 101's and Dark Holes and Torrentials and BTH's do you see on a daily basis? Thought so. TOO MANY. I tried to make this card non-staply by putting two limitations/features, as you will see.

 

 

During either player's turn, when an Monster is Xyz Summoned: you can reveal this card in your hand, then detach all Xyz Materials from face-up Xyz Monsters on the field; Special Summon this card. This card's Level is equal to the number of Xyz Materials detached for its Summon, and this card's ATK and DEF and equal to 500x this card's Level. While this card is in your Graveyard, you cannot Xyz Summon.

 

Short story short, the limitations I imposed were:

• A monster has to be Xyz Summoned at time of use
• Your monsters also lose materials
• You can't XYZ Summon

In return, however, you get a free Tuner and wipe your opponent for a little while. I hoped this would bring Synchro-centric decks like Ice Barriers and Gustos and others a much needed boost, but idk, I may have just totally missed the mark.

It's searchable and a neat little design but this will die the moment it's Summoned unless you completely outplay your opponent with an Attack Position Defender of the Ice Barrier...also it's...not a Tuner?

^Damn, took that out by accident. I don't remember why either; gonna make it a tuner right away.

 

Also, you mention that it will die right away, which will likely always be the case; that said, would the following be a safe addition:

"While your opponent controls a face-up Xyz Monster, this card cannot be destroyed by battle."

Made the card a level 3 tuner. Don't know how much this changes things
