Child Archetype (19 Card Set)

This is an archetype I created based around the idea of bringing face-up cards back to your hand during a certain Turn Phase. In a way they are kind of like Spirit monsters with returning to your hand during the end of your turn. Every monster in this set is a Level 1 Fairy-type and they are full of different effects based on the monster. Almost all of them for the most part have an effect dealing with either returning themselves, or other monsters you control to your hand as well as a resolving effect dealing with leaving your opponent unable to do much. Card art courtesy of Aix Divadis. Credit goes to each artists who created all this beautiful artwork.

This card can be Special Summoned (from your hand) if you have no monsters in your Graveyard. During your End Phase: This face-up card returns to your hand if you control no Spell or Trap cards. If this effect resolves your opponent cannot activate Spell/Trap Cards during their next turn.

M0ltqip.jpg

If you control another "Child" monster(s) you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). When a monster you control is returned to your hand by a card effect: All "Child" monsters you control gain 200 ATK and DEF for each card on your opponent's field.

S2cNCmM.jpg

When this card is Normal Summoned you can Special Summon 1 "Child" monster (from your hand) if you control no other monsters. During your End Phase: This face-up card returns to your hand; when it does return 1 "Child" monster you control to your hand.

qog85fi.jpg

If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Child" monster: Target cards on your opponent's field up to the number of "Child" monsters you control; destroy those targets and inflict 300 damage to your opponents Life Points for each card destroyed by this effect. During your End Phase: Return this face-up card to your Deck.

gEGiq80.jpg

When this card is Normal Summoned shuffle your hand into your Deck and draw 4 cards. If any cards drawn are "Child" monsters you can Special Summon up to 2 in face-up Attack Position. If this card is returned to your hand by a card effect: Inflict 200 damage to your opponent for each card in your opponents Graveyard.

8cE9oqe.jpg

If you control a "Child of Primal Forces" you can Special summon this card (from your hand) in face-up Defense Position. As long as this card remains on the field, all "Child" monsters you control cannot be targeted for attacks. During your End Phase: Return up to 2 cards you control to your hand.

oLUPNtX.jpg

When a "Child" monster you control is returned to your hand while this card is face-up on the field: Gain 300 Life Points for each card you control. During your End Phase: Return this face-up card to your hand; if any "Child" monsters are in your Graveyard when this effect resolves, shuffle them into the Deck.

aXoVh1b.jpg

When this card is Summoned: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls and change control of it to your field. During your End Phase: Target the monster you took control of and this card; return each to the respective owner's hand and inflict damage to your opponent equal to the ATK of the monster you took control of.

sLc1HY9.jpg

When this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Child" monster: Target 1 card in your opponents hand and look at it; if it is a monster Special Summon it to your side of the field and destroy it during your opponent's Draw Phase; if it's a Spell or Trap return it to the Deck. During your End Phase: Return this card to your hand; your opponent cannot target a "Child" monster you control for an attack.

77PGz78.jpg

When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Child" monster from your hand in face-up Defense Position. During your Main Phase 2: Destroy the monster Special Summoned by this effect and inflict 1000 damage to your opponents Life Points; if this effect resolves shuffle this card into your Deck.

T9zvow7.jpg

If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Child" monster: Shuffle all other "Child" monster(s) you control to your Deck; this card gains ATK equal to the number of monster(s) shuffled x600. During your End Phase: If this card attacked this turn return it to your hand.

F1mV8H9.jpg

If your opponent attacks your Life Points directly: You can Special Summon this card from your hand to end the Battle Phase. When this effect is activated: Destroy this monster during your Draw Phase. If this card is returned to your hand by a card effect: Your opponent cannot declare an attack during their next turn.

eBrq6eD.jpg

This card can be Special Summoned (from your hand) by discarding 1 card from your hand. When this card is Summoned this way inflict 300 damage to your opponent for each monster on their field. During your End Phase: Shuffle this face-up card into your Deck.

SLESZ5z.jpg

When this card is Normal Summoned: Return all monsters on the field to the respective owners hand (except this one); increase your Life Points by 100 for each card returned by this effect. During your End Phase: Return this card to your hand; your opponent skips their Main Phase 1 of their next turn.
There we have it! This is the first archetype I've put up on these forums. Also excuse those three Xyz Monsters effects, they didn't want to work well with the spoiler tag for some odd reason. Let me know what you think of them!

I like the playstyle of the archtype. It has a madolche, spirit twist, and I also like how it focuses on your opponent cards, and having a control aspect. I enjoy the art work on light and shadow b/c it reminds of a game call Dont Starve.

Thank you, I initially made this archetype to revolve around Light and Shadow which is why the set name is called LTSW (Lights and Shadows) but after not being able to find art that fit the theme I had in mind I went with this concept instead.

To be honest I wish I knew how to script these into YGOPro just so I can test their effects out in a deck.

Randomly reading threads, and randomly reading posts here. But I found your post, so:

YGOPro Custom Card Community

(There's a sticky thread there regarding custom card making tutorials, I'm also there if you need help coding something. But I will not take any card coding requests.)

Also, playing fake cards in DN might work. If you just need to test the cards. (As I did this to test my own cards, before scripting it to ygopro.)

Oh alright thank you for the insight. I'll have to look around that forum and see what I can do. Also how do I go about putting fake cards in DN if you don't mind me asking? (Google isn't really holding up with good results)

Actually, you just build a deck with any of the cards there. You can't actually insert cards. Just pretend that the cards there are exactly like your cards (their stats, effects, etc). But most of the times, you just need to remember which card is which, and their effects (plus levels and ranks). Because, like no one want to play with that kind of faking cards (except me, if I'm in the mood to).
