If this card battles a monster with a rank; send that monster to the graveyard (without damage calculation). I feel the first effect is more balanced with the Rank/Level comparison and it can be enhanced with cards that raise levels (i.e. Noisy Gnat). I also changed the "return to hand" effect to "Banish till your next End Phase" to make the monster removal only temporary but still allowing for some advantage.

This card is slightly overpowered, even if it is just considering Xyz Monsters. Still, it would be wise to make it 'A rank of 4 or lower.'  You might also want to make it so it's 'If this monster battles an opponent with a level of *Insert Level, at most 8* or lower during your opponent's turn and is sent to the Graveyard; target that monster; banish this monster from the Graveyard and return the target to the hand.
