Agro Posted June 23, 2014 Report Share Posted June 23, 2014 Hashtag activism is helpful depending on what the issue and goal the activism is trying to deal with.If it's too big, or too politically controlled, then it's likely not going to get all that much done.However, if the activism is focused enough, with a goal of spreading attention to something, rather than actually change it, then it can be fairly useful.The problem comes when people think that hashtag activism is going to be the force of change, and just post something and leave it at that.
